About E-Volunteering
- Cuso International’s e-volunteering program welcomes new and returning volunteers to work with our international program partners and volunteers remotely.
- E-Volunteering offers many of the benefits gained from international volunteering, while having the extra advantage of fitting into one's regular weekly schedule without needing a passport.
- E-Volunteers are expected to supply their own basic home office equipment, Internet and have a moderate knowledge of computer technology.
- Some of our partners are located in remote areas with unreliable internet connection.

Project - Sharing Canadian Expertise for Inclusive Development and Gender Equality (SHARE)
- Cuso International will deliver the Sharing Canadian Expertise for Inclusive Development and Gender Equality (SHARE) project, with a contribution from Global Affairs Canada (GAC) over seven years (2020-2027).
- SHARE aims to improve the economic and/or social well-being of the poorest, most marginalized and vulnerable people, particularly women and girls, in developing countries, with a view to contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals. In addition to increasing engagement of Canadians in international development and key global issues, this project will aim to increase the performance of country partners to deliver more inclusive, innovative and environmentally sustainable development initiatives that advance gender equality, in support of the action areas of Canada’s Feminist International Assistance Policy.
Partner - Education as Vaccine
- Education as a Vaccine (EVA) is a youth-focused non-governmental organization committed to improving the health and development of children and young people in Nigeria.
- Education as a Vaccine has its headquarters in Abuja and field offices in Cross River, Benue, Nasarawa, Niger, Kaduna and Kano states.
The E-Volunteer’s Role
- We need your Resource Mobilization and Fundraising skills to help our partners deliver maximum impact to youth in the community.
- As a volunteer, you will work closely with the project team for the funding strategy development and deployment.
- In addition, you will support the team in responding to calls via proposal writing and developing unsolicited proposals to funders.

Responsibilities
As an e-volunteer, you will:
- Conduct a comprehensive analysis of potential donors, map donors’ strategic areas of interest and explore opportunities for partnerships and develop a plan for pursuing donors
- Contribute to an action plan that outlines clear timelines for the action proposed in the resource mobilization strategy and Proposals sent to potential donors
- Developof donor proposals and the preparation of progress reports.
Essential Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in relevant areas (Social Sciences, International Development)
- Relevant certificates / diplomas in Resource Mobilization.
Essential Background:
- At least 2 years of experience working on resource mobilization-related projects.
- Excellent oral and writing skills.
- Ability to work on own initiative.
- Experience writing multiple proposals and understanding funders' requirements.
