Job Title: Resident Nurse
Location: Abakaliki, Ebonyi
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • We are seeking an experienced and skilled Resident Nurseto join our healthcare team in Ebonyi State. As a Resident Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care, education, and support to residents in our facility.
  • You will work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to deliver personalized care and promote optimal health outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate resident care plans
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and committees
  • Maintain accurate and timely records and reports
  • Comply with facility policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
  • Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as prescribed
  • Monitor and document resident vital signs, medical conditions, and progress
  • Provide education and support to residents, families, and caregivers

Requirements

  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in nursing, preferably in the health Sector
  • Compassionate and empathetic approach to resident care
  • Familiarity with Nigerian healthcare regulations and standards
  • Strong assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSc Nursing)
  • Post-graduate certification in gerontology or a related field
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMRs)
