Job Title: Regional Segment Leader

Your Mission

  • We seek a talented Regional Segment Leader to be based in Nigeria and support the growth of West African markets.
  • In this position, the successful candidate will be responsible for the topline business for the Territory & Oil & Gas extending to the Power & Grid Segment and contribute to fine-tuning the overall business ecosystem.
  • They will be the catalyst and champion of innovation within the segment, responsible for driving and documenting the technical solution and strategic roadmap leveraging the complete Schneider Electric portfolio. 

Job Responsibilities
Your Role; magic happens when you bring great people together!

  • Developing and implementing strategic plans: Responsible for formulating and executing strategic plans to expand market share, drive sales, and achieve revenue targets within the oil and gas segment in Nigeria & other West Africa countries.
  • Market analysis and intelligence: Conducting thorough market analysis to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to effectively position Schneider Electric's offerings within the oil and gas, power & grid segment industry.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Working closely with sales, marketing, and technical teams to ensure seamless execution of business plans, and to drive customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Set up an Account plan for our Top 5 end-users with an appropriate value proposition and be accountable for our three business models, prioritising Systems and services.
  • Create a Pipeline of projects to be tagged into BFO and developed with our WA, Cluster, and segment organizations.
  • Lead the Prescription for the overall business and propose resource synergies with our Process Automation business.
  • Customer relationship management: Building and maintaining solid relationships with key customers and stakeholders, understanding their challenges, and proposing tailored solutions to meet their needs.
  • Product and solution expertise: Collaborating with product management and R&D teams to ensure a deep understanding of Schneider Electric's oil and gas portfolio and effectively communicating the value proposition to customers.

Qualifications
What qualifications will make you successful in this role?

  • Minimum of B.Sc./ B.Eng. Degree in any relevant discipline, e.g., Electrical & Electronics, Control Engineering, or Computer Science.
  • A minimum of 8 – 10 years of commercial experience preferably in the oil & gas or power sector.
  • Market: Experience within the oil & gas sector is mandatory.
  • Deep understanding of account management, customers, sales channels & third parties, and broad experience in applying financial strategies with the client.
  • Collaborative Team Player - passionate and dynamic leader with the energy and ability to obtain alignment and work effectively across a complex, global matrix organization.
  • Solid experience in Industrial Automation / Energy Management solutions plus strong digital skill
  • Business leadership presence and acumen: Excellent listening and communication skills, ability to articulate business trends and link actions to outcomes.
  • Accustomed to fast-changing, complex and ambiguous environment.
  • Strategic & tactical mindset, proactively creating opportunities through consultative selling. 
  • Familiarity with the processes and opportunities within the oil & gas segment. 
  • Existing relationships at C-suite and operational leadership levels are desired. 
  • Great capability to create relationships at C-suite and operational leadership levels.
  • Strong initiative, self-starter and highly organized, you also show great Communication and Interpersonal skills.
  • Master Account Management and consultative selling methods for complex solution
  • Demonstrated ability to embrace the diversity of thought – develop innovative ways to align strategy with the customer.
