Established in 2011, Shelze continues to seek brilliant minds to join its team in delivering world class services using cutting edge technology.     Job Title: Tax Analyst Location: Lagos Job Description The position will be multi-disciplinary and focus on assisting with Federal and State income and property taxes. Computations. The position will serve multiple managers and/or other more senior professional staff members within the tax department. Key responsibilities & deliverables

  • Assist with the preparation of Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) & Lagos State Internal Revenue Service (LIRS) Income tax returns and payments
  • Assist with the preparation of responses to various tax audits
  • Assist with responses to notices regarding FIRS and LIRS tax issues
  • Conduct client tax compliance reviews and health checks
  • Coordinate client monthly tax and other regulatory compliance requirements
  • Liaise with the Relevant Tax Authorities on behalf of Clients.
  • Preparing research on various tax issues
  • Assist with the preparation of income tax provision and tax account reconciliations
  • Assist with other projects as necessary
Skills Required
  • Excellent analytical skills, motivation and confidence to independently address issues
  • Proficiency in the use of MS Excel, MS Word & Powerpoint
  • Basic understanding of Nigerian Tax Laws
  • Good command of written and spoken English
  • Prior Leadership experience
  • Solutions provider with the ability to take initiative
  • Attention to detail

Educational Requirements
  • B.Sc or HND in Accounting with a minimum of Second Class Upper or Upper Credit from a reputable University, College of Education or Polytechnic
  • AAT
  • ACA (added advantage)
