Job Title: Quality Control Officer
Location: Lagos
Responsibilities:
- Interpret and review job/work specifications
- Inspect completed work and/or work in progress to determine whether the work meets specifications and plan requirements
- Monitor overall construction performance with regard to technical quality and compliance with design and specification requirements
- Note and report on work that does not meet requirements
- Educate workers on the required standards
- Work with senior managers to identify approaches and methods to improve overall quality
- Inspect raw materials to ensure consistency and integrity
- Maintain, test and troubleshoot all instrumentation devices
- Attempt repairs on broken or damaged products to determine the best way to scale those repairs
- Test a certain percentage of all products based on industry standards
- Report problems or concerns to senior management immediately
- Manage our quality assurance division and ensure all employees meet their required quotas
- Provide training and support to QA team
- Create an effective, efficient testing protocol to be used across all product lines
Requirements:
- A good team Player
- Ability to work with little or no supervision
- Able to deliver/meet deadlines
- Good interpersonal skills
- Qualification: BSc/HND or minimum of OND and must be a Lagos Resident.
Job Title: HSE Officer
Location: Lagos
Responsibilities:
- Support the development of OHS policies and programs
- Advise and instruct on various safety-related topics
- Conduct risk assessment and enforce preventative measures
- Review existing policies and measures and update according to legislation
- Initiate and organize OHS training of employees and executives
- Inspect premises and the work of personnel to identify issues or non-conformity (e.g. not using protective equipment)
- Oversee installations, maintenance, disposal of substances etc.
- Stop any unsafe acts or processes that seem dangerous or unhealthy
- Record and investigate incidents to determine causes and handle worker’s compensation claims
- Prepare reports on occurrences and provide statistical information to upper management
Requirements:
- Proven experience as safety officer
- In depth knowledge of legislation (e.g. OSHA/EPA) and procedures
- Knowledge of potentially hazardous materials or practices
- Experience in writing reports and policies for health and safety
- Familiarity with conducting data analysis and reporting statistics
- Proficient in MS Office; Working knowledge of safety management information systems is a plus
- Outstanding organizational skills
- Diligent with great attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills with ability to present/explain health and safety topics
- Qualification: BSc/HND or minimum of OND and must be a Lagos Resident.
