Job Title: Radiographer

Location: Surulere, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • We are seeking a licensed and experienced Radiographer with expertise in ultrasound procedures to join our medical imaging team. The Radiographer will perform a range of radiologic and ultrasound examinations on patients, ensuring the production of high-quality images for diagnostic purposes. The ideal candidate must hold a valid license and have in-depth knowledge of both radiography and ultrasound techniques.

Key Responsibilities
Radiologic Imaging:

  • Operate radiologic equipment to produce diagnostic images of patients' internal structures.
  • Position patients appropriately to obtain the best possible images while minimizing radiation exposure.

Ultrasound Imaging:

  • Perform ultrasound examinations to visualize and analyze soft tissues and organs.
  • Adjust ultrasound equipment settings to optimize image quality and capture relevant information.

Patient Care:

  • Explain procedures to patients, ensuring their comfort and addressing any concerns.
  • Follow safety protocols to minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff.

Image Quality and Evaluation:

  • Ensure the quality and accuracy of images by reviewing and adjusting as needed.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate and timely image interpretation.

Equipment Maintenance:

  • Perform routine maintenance on radiologic and ultrasound equipment to ensure proper functionality.
  • Report equipment malfunctions and coordinate repairs as necessary.

Documentation and Record-keeping:

  • Maintain detailed records of patient information, procedures performed, and imaging results.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and quality assurance standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field.
  • Valid state licensure as a Radiologic Technologist.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a healthcare team environment.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to maintain patient confidentiality.
  • Certification in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (RDMS) or equivalent for ultrasound procedures.
  • In-depth knowledge of radiographic and ultrasound techniques, equipment, and safety protocols.
