Job Title: Quantity Surveyor (Site Construction)

Location: Lagos

Job Description

  • We are seeking a highly experienced Quantity Surveyor with a minimum of 10 years of work experience in site construction to join our dynamic team.
  • As the ideal candidate, you will have a passion for excellence, a commitment to delivering successful construction projects, and a strong understanding of cost management, project planning, and risk assessment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for construction projects
  • Identify and manage project risks, and develop strategies to mitigate them
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure that projects are completed according to specifications and standards
  • Review and approve invoices, change orders, and other project-related documentation
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all project-related costs and documentation
  • Conduct value engineering analysis to reduce costs while maintaining quality standards
  • Analyze and manage project budgets, including tracking expenditures and forecasting costs
  • Develop and implement project schedules and timelines to ensure the timely completion of projects

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field
  • Minimum of 10 years of work experience in site construction as a Quantity Surveyor
  • Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and standards
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel and project management software.
