Job Title: Quality Control / Food Safety Manager

Job Summary

  • We are seeking a highly experienced Quality Control/Food Safety Manager to join our ultra-modern food processing factory in Nigeria.
  • This facility includes fast food, bakery, butchery, and fruits and vegetables processing.
  • The ideal candidate should have at least 8 years of experience in a food manufacturing company.
  • The Quality Control/Food Safety Manager will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of food quality and safety, managing compliance with regulatory requirements and leading a team to maintain and improve quality assurance processes.

Duties and Responsibilities
Quality Assurance Management:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive quality assurance systems and procedures to ensure product quality and safety.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections of the production processes to ensure compliance with quality standards.

Supplier Quality Management:

  • Evaluate and monitor the quality of raw materials and ingredients supplied by vendors, ensuring they meet required standards.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality issues and implement improvement plans.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of quality control activities, inspections, and compliance audits.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on quality performance, including trends, issues, and corrective actions taken.

Food Safety Compliance:

  • Ensure the facility complies with all local and international food safety regulations and standards, including HACCP, ISO22000, and other relevant certifications.
  • Conduct regular food safety training for employees to maintain a high level of awareness and adherence to safety protocols.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements in production to enhance  product quality and operational efficiency.
  • Implement corrective and preventive actions to address any quality or safety issues identified.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead and manage the quality control team, providing training, guidance, and performance evaluations to ensure high levels of competency and productivity.
  • Foster a culture of quality and safety within the organization.
