Job Description
- As a Project Manager, you will lead and deliver projects that enhance functionality and reporting provided by existing corporate reporting platforms.
- In this role, you will be responsible for end-to-end project delivery following the Project Life Cycle.
- You will be a part of the Agile Delivery Team charged with defining user stories and organizing the Product Backlog to retain the conceptual and technical integrity of the Features or components for the team while streamlining the execution of program priorities.
- As a member of the software development team, you will take charge of new features and oversee the entire development cycle.
- Working closely with the Scrum team and the stakeholders will be necessary for this.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading change projects from idea to implementation delivering to agreed scope within an Agile environment.
- Call out delivery risks where required to ensure that releases and backlog initiatives are not delayed.
- Manage project implementation time frames and overall project plan, including deliverables, testing, and implementation support.
- Provide overall leadership to the entire project team.
- Report project status in a timely and accurate manner
- Communicate with the CTO/COO to determine specific requirements and expectations.
- Ensure compliance to quality assurance principles and document management within the Services delivery team.
- Take on project supervisory responsibility and provides mentorship and coaching to an entire project team.
- Assigning tasks to the development team members and properly populating tickets on Jira
- Experience working in an agile team and happy to learn and participate in various Agile ceremonies such as Daily Stand-up, Sprint Planning, Backlog Refinement, Retrospective, Sprint Review
- Natural leader who can collaborate across the project and program and help other colleagues to develop.
- The ability to define the project scope, objectives and participants in a project charter which serves as the foundation for the project.
- Manage projects using standardized project management methodology and procedures.
- Provide weekly updates on project health, progress, and potential risks.
Required Knowledge and Experience
- Candidates should possess relevant qualifications and work experience.
- Proficiency in configuring JIRA workflows.
- Expertise in Agile/Scrum/ KANBAN methodologies
- Significant project management experience in managing large implementation/software development projects.
- Ability to break down complex epics into issues for developers to work on.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills
- Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and diagnose complex problems.
- Solid team leadership skills to exchange ideas.
- Ability to prioritize effectively within and across one or more assignments through good judgement, seeking guidance where appropriate.
- Ability and willingness to contribute to ongoing process improvement initiatives.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Has knowledge and skill level of applicable software tools and processes
- Knowledge and experience in agile methodology.
- In-depth understanding of customer needs and the general impact of changes in the business environment and industry trends.
- An ability to understand and anticipate the client’s needs and provide consultancy as required.
- Specialized project management skills to plan, monitor and track projects to meet the target KPIs.
- Accountable for professional working behavior to include building and maintaining constructive working relationships, implementing proactive and concise communication, acting as a resource to colleagues, and engaging in collaborative thinking and problem-solving.

- Using MoSCoW prioritization technique for requirement gathering
- Understanding PRINCE2 management approach
- Technical background/knowledge.
Salary
N200,000 - N300,000 Monthly.
