Rolan Foundation is a not-for-profit organization established with a mandate to create a realistic, effective, and impactful difference in the lives of vulnerable and less-privileged persons living in urban, rural, and hard-to-reach communities in Nigeria. We achieve this through three-pronged approaches: Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Capacity Development, and Welfare.

Job Summary

  • Are you passionate about driving impactful programs that create lasting change? We are seeking an experienced and motivated Program Officer to join our dynamic team.
  • In this role, you will play a pivotal part in designing, implementing, and managing programs that align with our mission to make a meaningful difference in the community.
  • This role includes overseeing program activities, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance, while actively engaging with stakeholders and supporting communication across teams.
  • This individual will work closely with our Grant Team for effective grant making processes, support in administering our grants management database, and lead system updates and migrations as needed.

Key Responsibilities
Program Management:

  • Ensure all media and communication programs align with the Foundation’s goals and obtain leadership approval.
  • Comply withbudget approved forprograms,maintainingaccuracywithinsetvariance limits.
  • Provide regular program updates and ensure logistics are managed for successful event execution.
  • Support risk analysis and mitigation modalities.
  • Maintain awareness of Rolan Foundation’s funding priorities and trends in the philanthropy sector.
  • Develop detailed plans for each program and monitor their progress, aiming to meet set milestones and timelines.
  • Conduct pre-program, during andpost-program surveys, targeting need, localization, legal and sustainability indicators.

System Administration:

  • Assist in implementing and managing the grants management system, including staff communication and training.
  • Ensure data quality and support system updates as required.
  • Develop training resources and update procedural documentation as the system evolves.

Internal Collaboration:

  • Provide additional support to the Programs and Grants team, assisting with board materials, and attending team meetings.
  • Engage in cross-functional projects with the Programs, Finance, and Administrative teams as needed.

Monitoring and Evaluation:

  • Enhance the capture and use of grant-related information for operational decision-making and reporting.
  • Support initiatives that improve relationships with grantees and enable learning.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree with 2 years experience.
  • Experience with project management and data management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and experience with database systems.
  • Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
