The Bridge Leadership Foundation is a non-profit leadership and capacity development Foundation established in 2011. We are committed to building generations of young people educated to become compassionate, entrepreneurial and engaged citizens, empowered to take responsibility for their own lives and for making a difference in the world. We do this by addressing gaps in the provision of practical leadership models for young people and thus provide a platform designed to inspire, motivate, train, mentor and empower young people to actualize their goals.

Job Title: Program Officer

Job Description

  • We are on a strategic journey towards building a world-class leadership institute that seeks to be a bridge-builder and a development hub for young people.
  • We seek to hire a Programme Officer to support the organization in designing, redesigning, and executing tailored programmes.

Core Duties and Responsibilities

  • Report to and work closely with the Programme Team in the planning and implementation of programmes/projects in line with TBLF s vision and mission.
  • Support with the development and implementation of comprehensive strategies for the success of the organization.
  • Follow proper project management processes when executing projects in line with and aligning with all TBLFs internal processes.
  • Responsible for promoting all programmes, services and impact on various media, working with the communications unit.
  • Prepare reports on the impact of all programmes, working with the monitoring and evaluation unit.
  • Develop and manage programme budget, ensuring transparency and efficiency in the use of organization’s funds.
  • Organize and ensure the successful implementation of programmes such as conferences, workshops, trainings specifically for young people and in line with stakeholder’s expectations.
  • Establish new strategic relationships with potential partners and effectively manage existing relationships.
  • Engage in other tasks as may emerge as a result of the growth of the organization.

Behavioural Capabilities

  • 5+ years of relevant post-NYSC experience with significant Knowledge in the non-profit sector.
  • Team leadership and management skills, supervisory skills.
  • Project Management.
  • Passion for Leadership and youth development in Nigeria/Africa.
  • A high level of integrity.
  • Program conceptualization, design, and delivery.
  • Partnership development, fundraising, stakeholder management, and experience in grant writing.
  • Strong work ethic, a self-starter, and very creative.
