Lafiya Telehealth is an AI (Artificial Intelligence) powered telehealth platform that connects patients with doctors remotely, we have built a robust end-to-end telemedicine platform that gives patients the best remote consultations as patients can now get the best remote doctor-patient experience.

Job Title: Program Officer

Location: Kebbi

Responsibilities
Reporting to the core team of Lafiya Nigeria, the Program Officer will have the following responsibilities:

  • Working closely with the core team, build and maintain partnerships and relationships with program partners, such as non-profits, federal agencies and community organizations, in order to expand resources, raise funding and educate the public about the work of the project.
  • Support the development of annual, quarterly donor and government report writing, including management and updates.
  • Participate in project monitoring and supportive supervision of partners, project sites and communities.
  • Manage staff and volunteers as the team grows.
  • Provide support to all programme activities for the state
  • Assist in the collection of data to inform and support Monitoring, Evaluation, Learning and Research related activities.
  • Represent Lafiya Nigeria at various meetings, technical working groups and relevant forums.
  • Contribute to developing project Implementation Plans, training manuals/curricula and research projects.
  • Assist in developing and monitoring annual work plans, program initiatives and budget development.
  • Support effective project management, and coordination and provide support to partners on the project implementation procedure, data management and effective financial management.
  • Provide support as needed, the preparation and timely submission of detailed reports by the partners on project activities on a quarterly and annual basis in compliance with project requirements.
  • Submit a monthly report to the co-founders.

Key Qualifications

  • As a prerequisite, the successful candidate must believe in the core values of Lafiya Nigeria and be driven by the mission.
  • The candidate should demonstrate a passion for family planning interventions and global health. Beyond that, we are seeking a candidate with a demonstrated ability to perform consistently at a high level.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of professional work experience on a global health project will be preferred and an added advantage, ideally if based in Nigeria.
  • Demonstrated project management experience, including budget development, event planning, and coordinating multiple partners and stakeholders.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Strong critical thinking skills, ability to solve problems and resourcefulness.
  • Based in Nigeria with the ability to travel periodically to Jigawa and Kebbi state. Ideally, based in Jigawa.
  • Fluency in Hausa will be an added advantage.
  • Understand the cultural, gender, religion, race, nationality, and age sensitivity and adaptability of northern Nigeria.
  • Demonstrated strength and experience in writing technical reports.
  • Strong commitment to Lafiya Nigeria’s mission, purpose and values.
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills; fluency in the English language is essential.

Compensation

  • Lafiya Nigeria can offer a competitive non-profit salary. We would look to offer between NGN1,500,000 - NGN3,000,000 NGN as annual compensation. The exact job title and compensation will depend on the experience and career stage of the successful applicant.
