Job Title: Procurement Materials Coordinator

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with departments to determine materials and supplies needed for production and operations.
  • Research and identify potential suppliers, obtaining quotes and negotiating favorable terms.
  • Place and manage purchase orders to maintain optimal inventory levels and ensure timely delivery.
  • Monitor supplier performance, evaluating quality, delivery, and responsiveness.
  • Communicate with suppliers to resolve issues, delays, and discrepancies in orders.
  • Maintain accurate records of procurement transactions, contracts, and inventory levels.
  • Coordinate with logistics and production teams to align procurement activities with operational needs.
  • Use procurement software to track orders, manage supplier information, and generate reports.
  • Implement inventory control strategies to prevent shortages and excess stock.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvement, and supplier collaboration.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards.
  • Participate in supplier audits to assess compliance and quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
  • Proven experience of 10 years in procurement, materials management, or supply chain coordination.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to build positive supplier relationships.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in using procurement and inventory management software.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and generate insights.
  • Knowledge of industry procurement regulations and trends.

Salary
N300,000 - N450,000 / month.
