Job Title: Procurement Manager

Location: Victoria Island, Lagos

Job Description

  • We are looking to hire an experienced Procurement Specialist to help us keep growing. If you're hard-working and dedicated, our company is an ideal place to get ahead.

Responsibilities

  • Identify suppliers of goods and services
  • Negotiate terms with suppliers such as price, quality of goods, deadlines, expectations, etc.
  • Liaise with suppliers and project managers regarding updates and details of goods
  • Execution of Procurement team activities in line with department-related procedures, policies, templates, tools, etc. for the organization.
  • Ensuring compliance with Client and Company’s needs, Statutory Policies and Regulations.
  • Generate Procurement Progress reports, expediting reports, and any other reports as and when required. Filing and Maintenance of Procurement and Sourcing records.
  • Ensure Vendors and Subcontractors are paid on time.
  • To promptly follow up with vendors and ensure business contacts are up-to-date and relationships properly managed.
  • Create purchase orders and tally these with supply requests and orders
  • Analyse invoices to ensure the accuracy of goods delivered
  • Monitor inventory to ensure the flow of goods remains positive
  • Work closely with the projects team to understand the details of procurement requirements

Requirements

  • Candidates should possess B.Sc Degrees
  • Must have an accounting background
  • Must have at least 5 years of experience with leadership skills
  • Good knowledge of preparing required procurement reports to the management
  • Strong knowledge of the industry and market conditions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Impeccable negotiation and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and rapport-building
  • Flexible to work long hours as demanded by projects.
  • Demonstrated good computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite applications.Knowledge of the usage of ERP packages is an added advantage
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and ability to meet deadlines with attention to detail and quality
  • Additional certification in the field of procurement desired
