We are recruiting to fill the position below:

 

 

Job Title: Plumber

Location: Adamawa
Employment type: Full time

Description

  • The Plumber is charged with the responsibility of installing, repairing, and maintaining pipes and fixtures used for water distribution and wastewater disposal in accordance with the standard operating procedures.

Detailed Listing of Responsibilities

  • Identify required tools and special equipment
  • Select the type and size of pipe required
  • Locate and mark positions for connections and fixtures
  • Install supports and hangers for pipe, fixtures and equipment
  • Assemble and install valves and fittings
  • Ensure all installations, repairs and maintenance meet the requirements of the appropriate codes
  • Ensure all installations, repairs and maintenance meet environmental protection requirements.
  • Maintain and mend leaks on any piping network/infrastructure which includes but is not limited to Gas cookers or Diesel Lines for Generators
  • Install, repair and maintain piping and controls
  • Install, repair and maintain underground storm sanitary and water piping systems
  • Install, repair and maintain sinks, tubs and toilets
  • Install, repair and maintain water heaters.
  • Install, repair and maintain plumbing fixtures, appliances and trim
  • Test pipe systems and fixtures for leaks
  • Perform scheduled maintenance service on plumbing systems and fixtures
  • Ensure all installations, repairs and maintenance are properly sized, aligned, supported and graded
  • Perform any other duties as assigned or delegated by the supervisor.

Requirements for the Position

  • Secondary School Certificate and Vocational Certification in Plumbing from a recognized and accredited post-secondary institution, substituted with relevant experience
  • At least three (3) years’ of experience
  • Trade tests
