Job Title: Pharmacist Manager (Sales and Marketing)
Location: Nigeria
Job Specifics
The Pharmacist Manager will play a key role in the future direction of
the organization and development of strategies. These strategies will
support:
- Continued profitable growth;
- Diversification outside of the current product profile and
- Expand of core competencies
The Specific Responsibilities
- Refinement and implementation of a new business plan for best fit market segments outside of traditional routes to market
- Participate in process to provide best-fit alternative options
to expand current core competencies. This will include the generation of
intelligence derived by gathering and analyzing information by
attending seminars, tradeshows, undertaking web research, compiling
sales and customer input.
- In carrying out the above responsibilities, the individual is
responsible for all regulatory affairs making sure these are adhered to
when carrying out the day to day business.
- Identification of best prospects in targeted segments
- Sales and gross margin profitability for selected assigned
accounts. Must have ability to discern key direct & indirect cost
drivers on new business and impact on business profitability.

- Ability to think creatively and set and meet deadlines
- Morally upstanding having knowledge and adhering to all the
stipulations of the law binding individuals, companies and the ethics
of the pharmacy profession.
- Ability to discern key customer objections & intentions
and, corresponding development of strategies to achieve business
closure in addition, to build and cultivate beneficial relationships
with internal and external contacts
- Detail oriented, organized and self-assured, strong aptitude for visualizing and conceptualizing future market, prospect.
Work Commitment
- The Pharmacist Manager can expect regular overnight travel out
of the Company's base in Lagos. As with most externally focused sales
positions, the individual in this role should expect that a large
percentage of their time would be spent outside the company.
- This individual needs to be flexible with extending hours and
day of work, when necessary, to meet the needs of customers and
associates.
Experience
Required:
- A minimum of 10 years’ experience in position with similar responsibilities and in a related field
- Good proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Experience in development, implementation, successful execution
of plans to generate new business in targeted market segments and
prospects
Desired:
- Experience in the marketing of pharmaceutical products in traditional and non-traditional routes.
- Be performance-driven with the ability to deliver time-bound results.
- Be an aggressive & smart individual that is committed to success and excellence
- Must be able to drive and be ready to travel out of a conversant preferred location.
- Have an excellent & persuasive communication and presentation skill.
- Possess enviable business acumen and good negotiation skills.
Education
Required:
- Qualified Registered Pharmacist
