OVC Program Officer at Community Life Advancement Project (CLAP)


Community Life Advancement Project (CLAP) has over fifteen (15) years of experience in OVC service delivery in the country. As sub-recipient to notable USAID and CDC partners, like Pact REACH Project, Hope World Wide ACCORD Project, Management Sciences for Health ProACT and CaTSS Project, ECWES LOCATE Project, HIFASS LOPIN -3 Project, PHI-IPSAN project, APIN-iCARES Project, IHVN-ACHIEVE Project, CIHP, ActionAid, etc, we have a reasonable pool of experienced program personnel who have employed case management procedures in enrolling and providing need-based services/Care and Support for over 100,000 vulnerable children across several states and achieved desired outcomes per thematic area of OVC programming and generally meeting the set objectives of each project implemented. Some of the states we have implemented OVC projects include: Kogi, Imo, Anambra, Enugu, Ebonyi, Niger, Nasarawa, Benue, Taraba, Gombe, Bauchi and Adamawa States.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

 

Job Title: OVC Program Officer

Location: Okene, Kogi
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • Coordinate community caseworkers and linkage officers in OVC programming in line with the PEPFAR OVC guidance and implementation model and provide them with the required technical support.
  • Create and maintain an up-to-date case file for each OVC ensuring documentation of case follow-up, achievement and graduation.
  • Prepare and submit high-quality and timely reports to the National Programme Manager.
  • Oversee assessment and enrolment of vulnerable children into the OVC program using case management tools.
  • Work closely with health facilities and community structures to support bi-directional referral and linkage of CLHIV/ALHIV to receive high-quality primary health care packages including HIV services.
  • Perform any other tasks requested by the organization’s hierarchy.

Job Requirements

  • Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree qualification.
  • 1 - 3 years work experience.
