Kursi Group, is a Nigerian-based Mining, Mineral processing and trading company. The company was incorporated in 2005 and has since grown to become one of Nigeria’s biggest and most reliable mining and trading company. The head office is located in Abuja, with mining, operational and processing sites spread across 22 of the 36 states in Nigeria.

Kursi holds the titles for some of the most viable mineral assets in Nigeria, with combined mineral resources and reserve estimation of over 100 billion us dollars.   We mine, process and trade on base metals, precious stones and rare earth minerals. We supply to off-takers, manufacturers and end-users in the global value chain.  Our Gold mining and processing lines have the capacity for 8500 tons of ore per day, with optimal grade recovery rate. We also lead the Nigerian market in the mining and trading of Lithium, Lead, Zinc, Tin, Columbite, Tantalite, Monoxide, Manganese, Wolframite, Graphite and Fluorite.

Job Description

  • As the Operations Manager at Kursi Investments Limited, you will play a pivotal role in driving the strategic direction and operational excellence of our organization's support functions.
  • Reporting directly to the Director of Operations, you will oversee procurement, logistics, asset management, warehousing, administration, property management, and information technology.
  • Your leadership will ensure the efficient utilization of resources and the successful implementation of program objectives across multiple locations.

Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize program support functions and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Provide direction and guidance to the operations team, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and accountability.

Operational Management:

  • Oversee all aspects of operations, including procurement, logistics, asset management, and IT, to ensure reliability and cost-effectiveness.
  • Establish systems for the smooth flow of goods into the country through various channels.
  • Identify vendor categories to meet program needs and coordinate internal and external stakeholders effectively.

Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and donor requirements.
  • Manage operational risks and address contractual and legal matters affecting program execution.
  • Implement and enforce Kursi investment limited policies and procedures related to procurement, logistics, and operations.

Resource Management:

  • Manage administrative, procurement, logistics, and IT resources efficiently and transparently.
  • Oversee procurement processes, logistics operations, and asset management to ensure compliance and control.
  • Supervise transport, travel support, and maintenance of Kursi investment limited assets and facilities.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Foster positive relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, local communities, investors, and industry partners.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and forums.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Develop the capacity of the operations team and facilitate career development opportunities.
  • Promote accountability, communicate expectations, and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Foster a work environment of mutual respect, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of management experience in a corporate sector, with a focus on operational support and project management.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
  • Analytical mindset with problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and other relevant software.
  • Fluent in English, both oral and written.
  • Strong knowledge of administrative and logistics procedures, compliance requirements, and risk management principles.
  • Proven leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to manage, organize, and prioritize tasks effectively.
