Job Description

  • Our client seeks to hire an Operations Coordinator to join their team. The successful hire is expected to be an experienced and self-motivated Operations personnel who has experience in Supply Chain Management, Order management, Foreign trade  Operations, Customer Service, Fleet Management, Sales, Marketing, and Business Operation preferably in the Oil and Gas Industry and Maritime is an added advantage.
  • You are expected to be an outstanding problem solver who welcomes new tasks and challenges - an organized and efficient multi-tasker with exceptional attention to detail.
  • The role requires you to have strong Interpersonal abilities, and a proven track record of exceptional Customer service delivery which enhances Sales and negotiation abilities when required.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all Supply Chain and Logistics operations for the business
  • Maintain and keep records, tracking to assist in monitoring, measuring, and controlling various logistics KPIs
  • Manage Customer Services End-to-End (Manage Sales Orders, Claims, Returns and Refusals Vendors Registration  and Management) 
  • Oversee and ensure regulatory compliance by keeping abreast with the compliance tracker and ensuring regulatory permits and licenses are up to date
  • Manage the demand process to ensure that delivery plans are established, monitored, and reviewed to ensure efficient and timely delivery of Orders and secure stock availability to Customers. 
  • Manage the Warehouse stocks and supervise the annual stock count and warehouse audit.
  • Manage and Supervise the Logistics team
  • Reviews monthly operational budget results, implements monthly variance reporting as compared to budget and advice on expenditure trends.
  • Conduct marketing research, getting competitor and customer insights, while providing marketing intelligence to the sales team to drive sales. 
  • Grow your vendors/ OEM  database to create brand visibility for the business through active participation in different events and exhibitions. 
  • Effectively oversee the procurement for project planning and execution. 
  • Ensure achievement of all Service Level Agreements with customers, suppliers, and distributors.
  • Develops and maintains internal controls and policies for an effective operations system
  • Deals with non-conformities covering ship and shore-based operations.
  • Provides full cooperation to regulatory bodies regarding marine and technical operations.
  • Enforces a zero downtime preventive vessel maintenance policy regime
  • Provides all the necessary support to ensure timely port turnaround, repairs, and maintenance activities are done on time.
  • Manage and supervise import processes and relevant related requirements by ensuring all documents conform with  Government regulations. 
  • Supervise the Shipping, Clearing, and local delivery of shipments to Customers.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders e.g., OEM, freight forwarders, customers, etc. 
  • Gather and analyze data sets to inform decision-making. 
  • Supervises  all operational activities within Port Harcourt branch
  • Controls the assigned budget and actively seeks operational leverage to increase cost efficiency

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in the relevant field from a reputable university MBA / MSc (Added Advantage).
  • Work Experience: Maritime, Downstream Oil and Gas Operations.Technical and Role Specific
  • Competencies: Strong Interpersonal, Communication, and Presentation Skills to communicate strategy with customers.
  • Ability to self-manage while managing assigned teams and projects.
  • Expert proficiency in the use of Microsoft skills and other collaborative tools
