Job Title: Operations Analyst

Location: Apapa, Lagos

Job Description

  • This OPEX MT is required to understudy the Operations Excellence Manager and develop the capabilities to grow into the Operations Excellence Manager role.
  • The incumbent of the role will work closely with OPEX Manager to; identify inefficiencies in team structures, processes & procedures, and services/products; and recommends and supports the design, testing & implementation of solutions to the identified inefficiencies

Main Task, Responsibilities and Expectations
Process Management & Operations Effectiveness:

  • Assists with the review of all operational process flow to ensure they are in line with higher-level business objectives
  • Assists with the development of a full view and understanding of all operational cycles within the Operations department
  • Supports the Implementation, monitoring, improvement and control of the lean six sigma approach in the organisation in accordance with Bollore Group Standards
  • Participates in the Identification, recommendation and driving action plans with internal stakeholders to increase operations effectiveness in line with the DIROPS team at HQ and local IT team
  • Prepares periodic reports to track the adoption of new or optimised processes
  • Works with internal stakeholders to increase the utilisation of the TOS functionality (full missions, reservations, etc.)
  • Assists with the development and periodic updates of the standard operating procedure (SOP)
  • Assists with the updating of all workflow diagrams

Teams Organisation & Management:

  • Assists with the documentation of job descriptions for all roles within the Operations department in alignment with SOPs
  • Supports the implementation of job descriptions and SOPs by all stakeholders
  • Supports the enforcement of SOP compliance of Operations team
  • Works with the OPEX Manager to suggest new organisation structures
  • Maximises productivity of the team through the implementation of TICT’s performance management system

Talent Acquisition & Development:

  • Supports the HR department with high level process and technical insights/contents required to develop necessary training plans for different roles within the operations department
  • Works with teams and HR department to identify recruitment needs
  • Supports teams to develop and entrench team spirit within the Operations department
  • Helps to drive the cultural change needed for a successful Operational excellence implementation
  • Supports initiatives to increase cross-functional collaboration among teams
  • Liaises with HR to identify suitable candidates and expected outcomes for blue, yellow, and green belt certifications
  • Performs any other duties as required by the business
