- Evaluating offset data before the start of drilling

- We are looking to recruit a formidable well Engineering team for an upcoming project.
Responsibilities
- Positively participating in teams of multi-disciplinary engineers providing completion engineering and testing solutions as part of the well delivery process (e.g., well planning preparation, tubing stress analysis, material selection, tendering, purchasing, QA/QC, CWOP, peer reviews, risk assessment and execution of operations in a timely manner).
- Preparing completion/testing/workover programmes/end of well reports and coordinating other specialist inputs.
- Optimising safe working practices in the development of operational programmes. Being familiar with derogations, management of change, company rules, HAZID/HAZOPs etc. Accurately preparing budgets and durations required for completion projects for individual wells. Liaising with the Well Examiner to ensure programs are in line with the Well Examination Scheme.
- Updating and following up equipment preparation for routine and non-routine operations.
- Updating and following up the rig cost control for service contracts involved in completion/workover/testing operations.
- Supervising and coaching entry level Engineers. Preparing statutory applications/notifications to external agencies, as required, to satisfy the overall completion/testing programme. - Prepare programs for all critical rigless activities such as securing wells and production logging operations.
- Thereafter oversee the implementation of the work by contractors to ensure the objectives are achieved in a safe and efficient manner. Ensure that all HSE risks are identified and that measures are put in place to mitigate risks and ensure that Rigless programs and completion programs are prepared accordingly.
- In particular ensure that HSE requirements are never compromised and that operations are performed in compliance of the Drilling Reference Manual (DRM), the Drilling Department Golden Rules and Corporate HSE requirements. Supervise and support the completion engineers with regard to the design and installation of optimum well completions and resolve technical and operational problems as they arise.
- Plan and supervise all production logging activities at oil, gas and water wells using production technology, thermal decay and gamma ray neutron tools (PLT, TDT and GNT). Responsibilities include gathering data, preparing program and overseeing work of contractor through to satisfactory completion of program.
- The incumbent also has responsibility to plan and program critical rigless operations such as well killing and production logging.
- Carry out peer assist and review of job procedures, completion design, job preparation and project readiness. Involved in periodic technical webinars to mentor and coach younger Engineers on industrial best practices, lessons learnt and new technologies.
