Job Title: Data Analyst

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers

Job Objectives

  • To establish data and documents relations in PACER-D to enable easy search for the information loaded.
  • To ensure NLNG hard copy documents and drawings are captured in PACER-D according to NLNG Facility Information Model/Asset Register, so that they are stored in a secured and efficient way for easy retrieval.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop and Manage database programs as the progress reporting tool.
  • Analyze metadata and attributes of the documents / drawings not in PACER-D and prepare load files for upload into PACER-D
  • Capture details of all hard copy documents in containers & cabin and cross check PACER to ensure documents and drawings are captured and uploaded into PACER-D
  • Scan and register hardcopy engineering documents and drawings that are not in PACER-D or of higher revision to the existing one into PACER-D so they are stored in a secured and efficient way for easy retrieval.
  • Manage the correct classification of document types and ensure document title conform with AIM convention
  • For assigned documents execute following tasks:
    • Check suitability of hardcopy documents and drawings for storing in PACER-D;
      recommend actions when found unsuitable for the purpose.
    • Ensure latest revision of documents and drawings are clearly identified and available for users from PACER-D.
    • Maintain and file hard copies of documents and drawings which are superseding the old revision. Retain superseded documents/drawings on file in accordance with retention time requirements (as per STARDOM Procedures).
    • Retrieve and issue up-to-date documents/drawing only,
  • Develop appropriate reports (Weekly, Monthly and completed Archive) as required on Capturing of Hardcopy Documents into EDMS project.
  • Guide users in the correct usage of PACER-D for retrieving documents and drawings.
  • Keep abreast of changes to operating procedures, work instructions and control systems related to data management.

Job Requirements
Education:

  • HND / B.Sc preferably in an Engineering, Science disciplines or Business Administration.

Experience:

  • 7 years post graduate experience, out of which 4 years should have been spent in a Data Management unit in the Oil & Gas sector.

 

 

 

Job Title: Quality Inspector - Electrical & Instrumentation

Location: Bonny Island, Rivers
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Purpose / Objective

  • To perform quality related activities that will support the delivery of Projects in line with Company’s specified project quality requirements through implementation of quality assurance processes, monitoring and control of the project activities for compliance with specifications and plans by both internal and external parties.

Main Accountabilities

  • Ensure that the project execution activities are executed in a controlled and assured way to a quality that is consistent with the delivery of the project objectives in terms of meeting HSSE & SP, schedule, cost, quality and other targets (“Doing the Project Right”).
  • Ensure that best practices and lessons learned are being applied consistently and appropriately and enabling business targets to be met, with specific emphasis on Top Quartile Project Delivery (TQPD).
  • Conduct spot checks at project sites to ascertain compliance with approved work processes, documentation, inspection & test requirements, as prescribed in project Inspection & Test Plans (ITP’s), Quality Control Procedures (QCP’s) and Quality Plan to deliver projects in accordance with contractual quality requirements.
  • Confirm quality of all materials on site and ensure compliance to all project specifications.
  • Provide QA/QC services to the TP department to support delivery of projects according to plan; prepare and issue required periodic (weekly, monthly, quarterly or as specified) work activity reports.
  • Monitor all activities and materials of construction in accordance with the approved drawings and specifications.
  • Coordinate with the construction engineers and client inspectors for clearing designated inspections
  • Prepare and resolve site work queries with interested parties.

Job Requirements
Education:

  • A University Degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering or its equivalent.
  • Additionally, successfully passed ISO 9001 training. IAEI Certification and ISO Lead Auditor Training are added advantage.

Experience:

  • A minimum of 7 years post graduate experience, out of which at least 3 years must have been spent in quality assurance and control in either project engineering/design activities in the Oil and Gas sector.

 

 

 

Job Title: Senior CAD Designer - Electrical & Instrumentation

Job Location: Bonny, Rivers

Job Objective

  • Manage the Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) activities; 2D drawings & 3D models for PDRs & SECs in the TEA Drawing Office. Ensure that all field verification works are carried out in a safe and efficient way.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Supervise the execution and close out of all Electrical & Instrumentation:
    • As built redlined PDR and SEC
    • Upgrading of documents,
    • Drafting / design request from NLNG departments and sections.
  • Participate in the conversion to native files of NLNG Documents types and incorporate plant change information resulting from project activities using AutoCAD, MicroStation, GTXRaster CAD and Microsoft Office software,
  • Produce technical drawings and documentation on AutoCAD to support NLNG activities as required from projects and discipline in accordance with NLNG Asset Information Management procedures and applicable standards.
  • Supervise the preparation of E&I technical designs for the draft works assigned.
  • Review drawings to ensure alignment with NLNG’s approved procedures and applicable standards.
  • Propose improvements and initiatives on NLNG CAD activities.
  • Incorporate as-built information on assigned drawings and related drawings in a controlled manner and upload into NLNG EDMS within the specified duration.
  • Maintain proper electronic filing system including revision control for all documents and drawings in hand.
  • Transfer non-standard file formats into the standardized formats ensuring uniform and complete information
  • Ensure all CADed E&I drawings are saved on NLNG Livelink in accordance to the file naming convention

Job Title: Senior Design Engineer - Instrumentation

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers

Job Purpose / Objectives

  • The Design Engineer supports the Lead Design Engineer in the Project Delivery Organisation in ensuring effective coordination and delivery of design and engineering work for capital projects.
  • Ensures that the instrumentation engineering design for assigned capital project is carried out safely to applicable codes and standards utilizing industry best practices to achieve error free and on-schedule project delivery.

Main Accountabilities

  • Responsible for delivering the instrumentation and process control engineering design packages for projects, as appropriate for each phase, in line with the corporate goal of top-quartile, competitive and affordable projects
  • Apply the relevant project and engineering procedures in line with the PMF/DCAF to deliver the appropriate engineering and design requirements and ensure value creation and protection
  • Ensure all Instrumentation (Process control and automation) engineering discipline requirements and inputs are made into Project documents such as BfD, BDP, BDEP, PES, PEP, ITT, etc, in close coordination with other technical disciplines to ensure an integrated delivery.
  • Act as technical expert on projects within the projects organization and responsible for the relevant discipline deliverables plan for projects. Liaise with the Corporate Engineering and other SMEs/TA to provide appropriate technical assurance on projects.
  • Carry out and perform basic and detailed design and engineering work: Design Calculations, Simulations, Work scope definition, Project Specifications, selection of standards, Preliminary Design Drawings as may be required for specific projects
  • Carry out instrumentation design reviews on third party design packages including, BDP, FEED, Detailed Design to ensure compliance of the deliverables with provisions of the applicable Design standards and specifications as part of the overall project quality assurance program.
  • Provide support for instrumentation engineering studies and change impact analysis as part of the Management of Change (MOC) procedure. Review and advise on Construction Technical Queries (CTQ) and mitigate actual and potential impacts on project philosophy and existing design
  • Perform the role of Discipline Q-Captain to ensure Flawless Project Delivery

Job Title: Senior Project Engineer - Front End

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers

Job Objective

  • The purpose of the position is to support the integration of projects across the Front-end and Execution phases to ensure a seamless transition and achieve Best-Practical Front-End loading at FID

Main Accountabilities

  • Provide primary coordination and support the interface between the Front end and Execution for Brownfield capital projects ensuring an integrated and consistent approach on all portfolio projects to ensure competitive and affordable projects are delivered.
  • Support and coordinate project execution input in the Assess and Select phases and ensure a robust Basis for Design, Project Execution strategy delivered for execution including contracting and procurement, schedule and cost estimates, and risk management strategies.
  • Coordinate requirements from key stakeholders to ensure that they are understood and incorporated in the project scope and execution planning, including regulatory, business, constructability for the project execution is firm and detailed enough to support effective project control and implementation during the Execution Phase.
  • Actively promote the deployment of the Project Management Framework principles and best practices as well as Brownfield Practices & Tools, and manages to obtain buy in from external stakeholders
  • Ensure that the HSE execution strategy for all projects is robust and effective and personally be accountable for Goal Zero
  • Ensure that projects have clear competitive and defined scope and that the scope is frozen during the Select phase and with no growth during Define. Ensure that all projects in select are subjected to robust value challenge and competitive scoping reviews as appropriate and support the front-end team to achieve scoped up better and quicker compared to the past.
  • Provide continuing technical support to the execution teams during the Define Phase to ensure there is no value erosion.

Job Title: Design Engineer - Civil / Structural

  • The Design Engineer supports the Lead Design Engineer in the Project Delivery Organisation in ensuring effective coordination and delivery of design and engineering work for capital projects.

Job Title: Lead Portfolio Analyst

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers

Job Purpose / Objective

  • Responsible for the day-to-day operation and effective administration of the portfolio processes.
  • Providing accurate decision-making analysis through synergetic stakeholder engagement and compliance with approved NLNG Project Portfolio Management process to contribute to the successful execution of CAPEX projects for the realization of NLNG business objectives.

Main Accountabilities

  • Responsible for all portfolio management records keeping and archiving.
  • Initiates and coordinates all portfolio analysis activities (including for Project Prioritization, FTE planning, Value and Portfolio Risk Analysis) and reports accordingly to the Portfolio Manager.
  • Responsible for organizing and coordinating the various forums/sessions for all events in the annual Portfolio Planning Calendar and all the portfolio management events for both the Front- End and Project Delivery Portfolios and across all Sub-Portfolios (i.e. Plant, Infrastructure, Pipeline/GTS and Community)
  • Updates and ensures the accuracy of the portfolio management templates, forms, checklists etc. required for the performance of all the portfolio management activities.
  • Acts as the secretary to the portfolio Decision Review Board (DRB) and ensures accuracy and completeness of portfolio related submissions (including reports) to the portfolio DRB.
  • Prepares periodic portfolio performance/status reports for the Portfolio Manager and Portfolio Sponsor.
  • Responsible for maintaining an accurate portfolio database, in collaboration with Portfolio Leads.

Job Title: Senior Design Engineer - Process

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers

Job Purpose / Objective

  • The Design Engineer supports the Lead Design Engineer in the Project Delivery Organisation in ensuring effective coordination and delivery of design and engineering work for capital projects.
  • Ensures that the process engineering design for assigned capital project is carried out safely to applicable codes and standards utilizing industry best practices to achieve error free and on-schedule project delivery.

Main Accountabilities

  • Provide timely and pro-active technology supports for integration of projects covering Masterplans for process, utility, plot layout, product evacuation and gas supply; Reviews and audits with respect to consistency and integrity at the interfaces; Development studies with various SMEs for growth projects; Review, ensure and maintain quality of a critical process safety document – Process Engineering Flow Schemes (PEFS); Plant modifications related to
  • the project interfaces prior to Management approval to ensure operational integrity of the process plant
  • Review of all technical integration input for process and utilities projects, including quality control of deliverables, whilst meeting process technical safety assurance, to ensure the quality and technical integrity of new installations by maintaining minimum required codes; applying requisite design criteria and standards as prescribed by NLNG/Shell DEP and best practice in the industry; and applying strategies that aim for minimum life cycle costs
  • Provide process & utilities technological support to assure the quality of in-house process technical safety risk assessments as applied by TA in the execution and quality assurance of utilities and process technical safety reviews (HAZOP, PSSR, etc) for plant changes and third-party projects integration, ESP, AI-PSM and Bow-tie development in conjunction with the other discipline NLNG TAs.
  • Provide process engineering support to achieve maximum profit for NLNG through evaluating energy efficiency, production capacity, and process reliability of new plant projects, expansion projects and Third-Party Projects deliverables plan for projects. Liaise with the Corporate Engineering and other SMEs/TA to provide appropriate technical assurance on projects.
  • Demonstrate HSSE Leadership, champion Production Risks and Process Safety accountabilities in implementation, execution and management of process & utilities integration support with new plant projects, growth projects and

Job Title: Project Material Coordinator

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers

Job Purpose / Objective

  • To ensure all project materials are procured, delivered, inspected, stored, preserved, and issued in a safe and efficient manner, meeting HSE, quality, cost, and scheduled targets.

Main Accountabilities

  • Coordinate the receipt and issuance of client direct procured materials, required for project construction activities.
  • Manage the day-to-day activities of the Project Material Storage Area and ensure strict compliance to CLIENT’S safety and security policies.
  • Coordinate site material inspection to ensure all materials are delivered according to purchase order specification and quantity.
  • Ensure all project materials (including contractors’ managed stock) are stored and preserved following general storage best practices and OEMs storage guidelines.
  • Coordinate material handling and transport of all project materials and ensure availability for pick up and / or delivery to construction site or any other advised location.
  • Manage the inventory of all project materials stored in the Project Materials Storage Area and monitor material usage by contractors and ensure all surplus materials are handed over back to client at the end of the construction.
  • Support delivery expediting of all clients direct and indirect (contractor) procurement and ensure materials are delivered ahead of their required-on-site (ROS) date.

  • Produce technical drawings and documentation on AutoCAD to support client activities as required from projects and discipline in accordance with client Asset Information Management procedures and applicable standards.
  • Assist in the preparation of technical designs for the draft works assigned.

Job Purpose / Objective

  • The Design Engineer supports the Lead Design Engineer in the Project Delivery Organisation in ensuring effective coordination and delivery of design and engineering work for capital projects.
  • Ensures that the electrical engineering design for assigned capital project is carried out safely to applicable codes and standards utilizing industry best practices to achieve error free and on-schedule project delivery.

Main Accountabilities

  • Responsible for delivering the electrical engineering design packages for projects, as appropriate for each phase, in line with the corporate goal of top-quartile, competitive and affordable projects
  • Apply the relevant project and engineering procedures in line with the PMF/DCAF to deliver the appropriate engineering and design requirements and ensure value creation, maturation and protection within the engineering design space.
  • Ensure all electrical (static/rotating) engineering discipline requirements and inputs are made into Project documents such as BfD, BDP, BDEP, PES, PEP, ITT, etc, in close coordination with other technical disciplines to ensure an integrated delivery.
  • Act as technical expert on projects within the project’s organization and responsible for the relevant discipline deliverables plan for projects. Liaise with the Corporate Engineering and other SMEs/TA to provide appropriate technical assurance on projects.
  • Carry out and perform basic and detailed design and engineering work: Design Calculations, Simulations, Work scope definition, Project Specifications, selection of standards, Preliminary Design Drawings as may be required for specific projects
  • Carry out electrical design reviews on third party design packages including, BDP, FEED, Detailed Design to ensure compliance of the deliverables with provisions of the applicable Design standards and specifications as part of the overall project quality assurance program.

Job Title: Document Controller

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers

Job Objectives

  • To ensure client’s documents and drawings are handled, issued and stored in a secured and efficient way and in accordance with the requirements of SAIM Module of Gas-GAME.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Receive, register and verify the quality of data about documents, including data about relations to facility components and other objects. Keep Document Master List up-to-date.
  • Support checking of the suitability of electronic documents for storing in PACER.
  • Managing, monitoring and controlling of all client Documents.
  • Ensure that latest versions of documents are clearly identifiable and that only latest versions of documents are available to users.
  • Maintain and file (where necessary) hard copies of documents and replace outdated hard copy documents with latest updates.
  • Provide input to planning of document management activities.
  • Ensure that the documents are stored and integrated in the Facility Information Model and also ensure easy retrieval of the Document from client EDMS (PACER).
  • Provide input to proposals for creation, review and update of procedures for registration and control of documents.
  • Produce and distribute hard copies of documents as and when required by third parties.
  • Facilitate document exchange with Engineering Service Contractors. Ensure that the integrity and confidentiality of relevant documentation is carefully controlled, Guide users on the correct usage of PACER.
  • Maintain adequate stock levels of office supplies for all TEA personnel as well as for the Document Control Office reproduction equipment.

Job Purpose / Objective

  • The CAD Designer supports the Lead and Design Engineers in the Project Delivery Organisation in ensuring effective coordination and delivery of design and engineering work for capital projects.
  • The CAD Designer is ultimately responsible for engineering drafting and modelling of designs within the team and ensures that the engineering design for assigned capital project is carried out safely to applicable codes and standards utilizing industry best practices to achieve error free and on-schedule project delivery.

Main Accountabilities

  • Responsible for delivering CAE (computer aided engineering)/CAD (computer aided design) applications for projects, as appropriate for each phase, in line with the corporate goal of competitive and affordable projects execution
  • Responsible for Company asset 2D/3D/4D modelling and consistency checks in projects
  • Perform the role of Discipline Q-Captain to ensure Flawless Project Delivery
  • Work closely with Lead and Senior Design Engineers to resolve any existing or forecasted problems related to drafting quality in design or productivity. Carry out consistency checks on drawings, models etc.
  • Apply Company specifications and design manuals in line with the PMF/DCAF to deliver project intents in engineering deliverables CAD and modelling.
  • Ensure all engineering discipline requirements and CAD inputs are made into Project documents such as BfD, BDP, BDEP, PES, ITT, etc, in close coordination with other technical disciplines to ensure an integrated delivery.

  • Implement the project risk management process: risk identification and assessment; risk quantification and prioritization; risk response planning and implementation, risk information records; risk monitoring and control.
  • Support the regular health assessment of the project risk management process.
  • Coordinate and (when necessary) facilitate risk management events such as risk workshops and risk review meetings with the participation of all key stakeholders.

Job Purpose / Objective

  • To perform quality related activities that will support the delivery of Projects in line with Company’s specified project quality requirements through implementation of quality assurance processes, monitoring and control of the project activities for compliance with specifications and plans by both internal and external parties.

Main Accountabilities

  • Ensure that the project execution activities are executed in a controlled and assured way to a quality that is consistent with the delivery of the project objectives in terms of meeting HSSE & SP, schedule, cost, quality and other targets (“Doing the Project Right”).
  • Ensure that best practices and lessons learned are being applied consistently and appropriately and enabling business targets to be met, with specific emphasis on Top Quartile Project Delivery (TQPD).
  • Conduct spot checks at project sites to ascertain compliance with approved work processes, documentation, inspection & test requirements, as prescribed in project Inspection & Test Plans (ITP’s), Quality Control Procedures (QCP’s) and Quality Plan to deliver projects in accordance with contractual quality requirements.
  • Confirm quality of all materials on site and ensure compliance to all project specifications.
