Job Title: Mooring Master
Location: Nigeria
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Overview

  • As a Mooring Master at Atlantic Fenders and Support Services, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the mooring operations of vessels, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, and maintaining efficient operations during berthing and unberthing procedures.
  • You will work closely with ship captains, port authorities, and other stakeholders to ensure the smooth and safe handling of vessels.

Responsibilities

  • Person in Overall Advisory control (POAC) for Ship-to-Ship operations and Tandem mooring operations.
  • Responsible for inspection of equipment, Development of JPO and Mooring plan for vessels of similar or different sizes involved in STS operations, involvement in safety-related issues, and submission of safety reports.
  • Adhere to safety guidelines and OCIMF recommended procedures.
  • Comply with safety training and provide feedback.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of O' level, STCW, COC (Master Level), OSP, NIMASA, medical Certificate, BRM/BTM/MRM,
  • Oil Spill, Attendance at STS simulator training, DCE.
  • Minimum of 10 years proven experience as a mooring master.
  • Innovative.

  • Experienced ship handlers.
  • Thorough knowledge of offshore marine operations.
  • Strong leadership, influencing, and interpersonal skills.
  • Must have a Valid seafarer licence.
  • Ability to work with diverse ethnic nationalities.
  • Good seamanship ability.
  • Effective communication.
  • Result oriented.
