Job Title: Monitoring and Evaluation Officer

Job Summary

  • The Monitoring and Evaluation Officer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing the monitoring and evaluation framework for BFFWH’s projects.
  • This role requires an analytical thinker with experience in data collection, analysis, and reporting within the healthcare or non-profit sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement monitoring and evaluation plans for all BFFWH projects.
  • Design data collection tools and methodologies to assess project outcomes and impact.  
  • Conduct regular field visits to monitor project activities and ensure data accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with donor requirements and reporting standards.  
  • Train and support project staff in M&E best practices and tools.  
  • Be ready to travel to various project sites for data collection and evaluation purposes.
  • Analyze and interpret data to provide insights into project performance and areas for improvement.  
  • Prepare and present detailed M&E reports to senior management and stakeholders.  

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences, Statistics, Public Health, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.  
  • Proficiency in using statistical software and M&E tools.  
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in monitoring and evaluation, preferably within the healthcare or NGO sector.  
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in data collection, management, and analysis.  

Skills and Competencies:  

  • Proficiency in M&E frameworks and methodologies.  
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.  
  • Proficiency in Hausa language is an added advantage.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage complex data sets.  
  • Experience in report writing and presenting findings to diverse audiences.
