Job Title: Medical Officer

Locations: Festac and Ikeja, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • The Medical Officer will be responsible for providing medical care, diagnosing illnesses, prescribing medications, and implementing treatment plans for patients.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medicine, excellent clinical skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting medical examinations and assessments of patients.
  • Diagnosing and treating acute and chronic illnesses.
  • Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests such as blood tests, X-rays, and MRIs.
  • Prescribing medications and other treatments as necessary.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records.
  • Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care and treatment strategies.
  • Adhering to all relevant medical laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans.
  • Providing counselling and education to patients about their health conditions and treatment options.
  • Monitoring patients' progress and adjusting treatment plans as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Medicine & Surgery (MBBS)
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Medical officer
  • Good command of written and spoken English.
  • Ability and flexibility to deal with pressure and deadlines.
  • Strong clinical skills and knowledge of evidence-based medicine.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate medical records.
  • Willingness to stay updated on developments in the field of medicine through continuing education and professional development activities.
  • Good interpersonal skills, and must have a good rapport with people.
  • Have the ability to communicate at all levels.
  • Proactive approach and capable of working on own initiative.

Salary
N300,000 Monthly.
