Job Title: Medical Laboratory Scientist
Location: Mushin, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • This role will ensure accurate and detailed financial accounting of the laboratory, ensures proper stock storage, handling, taking, and recording.
  • Also ensures laboratory tests are carried out within stipulated TAT and compliance based on stipulated SOPs for routine chemistry.
  • The role ensures predictive, preventive and corrective maintenance logs are kept. As well, ensure periodic review and yearly update of laboratory SOPs for routine chemistry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee laboratory financial accounting.
  • Ensure stock management/material management.
  • Manage and maintain equipment. Controls and maintains equipment.
  • Report to the supervisor any significant problems he/she becomes aware of in daily practice.
  • Perform laboratory tests as and when due in line with laboratory SOP.
  • Checks the performance of internal quality controls to validate the tests and ensure control rules are not violated.
  • Participates in the training of interns
  • Writes SOPs for review and yearly update of laboratory SOPs for routine chemistry.
  • Ensure activities/processes included in the scope of the Standard Operating Procedures are identified and performed in compliance with this manual.
  • Apply the necessary techniques and criteria to verify that established processes/activities and their implemented controls are effective.
  • Manage, protect, and preserve stock.
  • Any other responsibility as assigned by management.

Salary
N200,000 - N250,000 per month.
