We are recruiting to fill the position below:

 

Job Title: Mechanic

Location: Tincan, Lagos
Employment Type: Full time

Purpose of the Job

  • Carry out maintenance of machines and fabrication of parts to ensure smooth running of machinery within flour operations coverage area.

The Job

  • Conduct timely breakdown repairs on all machinery to maintain smooth system operations.
  • Perform a variety of routine maintenance tasks.
  • Address incoming work requests promptly and efficiently.
  • Communicate any existing or potential issues with supervisors to facilitate proactive solutions.
  • Uphold hygienic conditions within the working environment.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations to prevent injuries.
  • Procure materials required for installation from stores as needed.
  • Report any quality and food safety issues to the Food Safety Team.
  • Report violations of FMN Lifesaving Rules and Behavioral Based Safety to the Safety Department.
  • Develop and implement preventative measures to minimize machine downtime.
  • Troubleshoot electrical controls to identify and resolve issues.
  • Maintain detailed records of machine service history for reference and analysis.
  • Analyze machine test results and make necessary adjustments to meet company specifications.

Qualifications

  • NABTEB and Technical Certificate.
  • 5 O’ level credits including English & Mathematics in not more than 2 sittings.

Experience:

  • Have at least 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Experience in milling industry.

  • Possess the ability to adapt to changing situations and prioritize tasks.
  • Pay attention to details.
