Job Title: Mechanical Supervisor

Location: Agbara, Ogun
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • The Mechanical Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the mechanical maintenance activities of the sodium silicate plant.
  • This role ensures the efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of all mechanical systems and equipment to maximize plant uptime, productivity, and safety.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Mechanical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related field.
  • Professional certification in mechanical engineering or maintenance.
  • Must have 6-7 years of experience in mechanical maintenance maintenance within a chemical or manufacturing plant environment. Experience in a sodium silicate or similar chemical processing plant.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Good understanding of safety regulations and best practices in industrial maintenance.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and schematics.
  • Proficiency in using maintenance management software and tools.
  • Familiarity with ISO standards and quality management systems.
  • Proven experience in a supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, and rotating equipment.

Working Conditions

  • This position involves working in a plant environment, which may include exposure to high temperatures, chemicals, and noise.
  • The role may require working outside regular hours, including weekends and holidays, to address emergencies or critical maintenance needs.
  • Normal Duty Hours: 12Hr / Day for both Day & Night Shift.
