Job Description

  • The marketing manager is responsible for developing and managing strategic marketing operations for all facets of the organisation. Responsible for developing marketing strategies, generating new business leads, and overseeing the department.

Responsibilities

  • Work with upper management to craft and execute marketing strategies for the organization.
  • Manage the marketing team.
  • Identify opportunities within the markets both locally and globally.
  • Develop strategies to penetrate key markets growth for Alara and Nok.
  • Develop strategies outside conventional methods to help increase revenue.
  • Generate ideas for promotion and campaigns.
  • Create and manage budget to meet marketing objectives.
  • Develop innovative results through analyzing existing customer data and market trends.
  • Provide day-to-day leadership for the marketing team.
  • Train and improve marketing knowledge capacity with other departments.
  • Source opportunities through third party affiliations.
  • Manage and involve relationships with strategic corporate media and the retail industry.
  • Coordinate, track and give report on ongoing activations.
  • Generate weekly activation to ensure traffic on the organisation’s website.
  • Promote collaborations both with food, music and other creative outlets in alignment with the organisation’s brand.
  • Source for marketing partners.
  • Give report on all marketing research findings regularly.
  • Share key measurable statistics.
  • Create strategies to engage and retain new and existing customers.
  • Grow new customer base for the organisation.

Technical Skills:

  • Must be a generalist in traditional and digital marketing and communications, have some experience in local market, West Africa and international markets.
  • Must be proficient with MS Office, Google Workspace, Constant Contact and Adobe software.
  • Knowledge of marketing principles, best practices and procedures.
  • Ability to draw up monthly, quarterly and annual budget.
  • Proficiency in electronic marketing automation software such as Hub-Spot Marketing and Bitrix2.
  • Must be technologically savvy to carry out a detailed research.
