Deepwater Engineering Limited (DEL) is a multi-discipline service provider formed by experienced professionals with years of direct experience within the major offshore Oil and Gas industry. The management has extensive experience of providing quality services in its areas of expertise.

Originally specialised in underwater NDT and inspection of offshore drilling rigs, shipping vessels, platforms and FPSO for classification societies such as ABS, DNV, BV, Lloyds, etc. Since then, we have expanded our services to carry out all types of Offshore and Onshore construction, inspection, salvage, support and maintenance.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

 

 

Job Title: Marine Assistant / Coordinator

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

  • Working hand in hand with the Marine Manager and vessel`s crew.
  • Monitor maintenance, crew performance, and safety records.
  • Conducting internal audits to ensure required standards are met.
  • Actively improve management systems and lines of communication.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of marine assets.
  • Provide business development support.
  • Develop and manage relationships with key players and relevant bodies in the industry and monitor regulatory developments, ensuring compliance.
  • Assist to build relationships with various vendors.
  • Provide support for the recruitment of seafarers.
  • Oversee the implementation of the company’s #QHSSE policies and procedures.
  • Prepare periodic reports of activities to management.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Marine Engineering field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of professional experience.
  • The position requires intermediate to advanced knowledge and use of MS office apps such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent time management.
  • Practical hands-on experience in the field and a good understanding of relevant industry practices, codes, and standards
  • Must have good knowledge of SOLAS, ISM, ISPS, STCW, MLC 2006, ISO, and similar IMO regulations and codes.
  • Good understanding of offshore support vessel operations, STS operations, and terminal operations.
  • Good knowledge of both international and local maritime legislations, specifically as it relates to NIMASA, Port, Flag State Control, and Classification Society roles in vessel operations.
