Job Title: Manufacturing Engineering Manager

Description

  • BURN is looking for a Manufacturing Engineering Manager who will be tasked with planning, directing, and coordinating the activities of the maintenance, tooling, and engineering departments, facilitating efficient manufacturing operations across the organization.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Leading the implementation projects of new manufacturing processes.
  • Lead all the NPI and post-launch activities in cooperation with the head office.
  • Leading the continuous improvement projects of the current manufacturing process.
  • Overseeing the performance of sheet metal production tools, assembly jigs and fixtures, and QC gauges.
  • Drive the implementation of the approved engineering changes.
  • Assist the maintenance team in root cause analyses and the repair of factory equipment including mechanical and hydraulic presses, shears, spot welders, and drill presses.
  • Work closely with the production, QC, and process teams for engineering and manufacturability issues and root cause analyses.
  • Design and supervise training programs for engineers and technicians.
  • Assuring the conformance with the standard preventive and autonomous maintenance programs for tools and equipment.
  • Analyzing the factory capacity utilization, balancing assembly lines, and costing the manufacturing and the assembly processes.
  • Carry out all other engineering tasks as per the engineering dep. Requirements.

Skills and Experience

  • Graduated from Mechanical/Industrial/Manufacturing engineering school.
  • 7+ years of experience in manufacturing entities, at least 2 years in sheet metal factories.
  • Worked at least on one of the following projects during his career:
  • Consumer product launch.
  • Factory layout implementation.
  • Capable of using Microsoft Office.
  • Creative, capable of working effectively in teams, good managerial skills, and representable.
  • Aware of the basics of electricity, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
  • Good knowledge of material selection for tooling, products, and machine spare parts.
  • Aware of factory and assembly lines layout analysis tools, design, and improvement techniques.
  • Lean manufacturing, waste elimination, or continuous improvement project.
  • TPM program implementation.
  • Capable of using 2D AutoCAD.
  • Capable of using Solid Works and 3D modelling tools.
  • Capable of using at least one project management tool, MS project is preferred.
