Job Title: Maintenance Scheduler (Pipeline Asset)

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Employment Type: Full Time

Job Objectives

  • To be the custodian of the planning/scheduling process for routine and non-routine maintenance activities in the Civil infrastructure maintenance function, and:
  • Plan the co-ordination of daily maintenance execution, such that integrity and reliability requirements are met.
  • Develop and maintain planning tools to reduce planning cycle time and improve confidence and accuracy of planning schedules.
  • Research and initiate planning management improvements.

Main responsibilities

  • Ensuring that HSE considerations are included in all work plans
  • Prepares activity database, identifying required actions, originator, relevant equipment tag/unique id, specific requirements such as scaffolding, lifting and rigging, inspection requirements etc.
  • Monitors and coordinates material availability so as to ensure materials are available for planned activities
  • Ensures that Contractor work orders and valuations are correct and prepared timely.
  • Prepares the Maintenance Planning schedule and assists in the preparation of Shutdown Planning when requested
  • Prepares schedule of meetings and chairs the maintenance planning meetings.
  • Reports on monthly maintenance work performance including Preventative Maintenance plan conformance.
  • Optimizes use of resources, both in manpower and equipment, whilst minimizing duration
  • To prepare activity templates, normalize duration and resource allocations for all activity types and trend analyses for use on future jobs.
  • Interfaces with other engineering disciplines, incorporates and monitors any interfaces with project (Plant change) planning and shutdowns.

Requirements
Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or equivalent with additional training in general field maintenance, HSE and maintenance contract management.

Experience:

  • Three to five (3 - 5) years’ experience in the oil industry e.g., refinery or LNG plant. 
  • Experience in working in a multi-disciplinary maintenance group is a plus.
