Machine Operator (Production) at Northwest Petroleum & Gas Company Limited


Northwest Petroleum & Gas Company Limited is a Company in the Oil & Gas Sector of the economy with international repute. The Company has vast experience in the importation, supply, distribution, and storage of Petroleum Products and is also actively involved in the official export of Crude Oil from Nigeria being one of the twenty-seven Companies approved by the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) for allocation and export of Nigerian Crude Oil. Presently, amongst other facilities, the Company operates two (2) Ultra-Modern Mega Petroleum Products Storage Terminals with a combined capacity of 96.8 million litres certified and duly licensed by the Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR) and an Ultra-Modern Berthing Facility with an International state of the art Fire Fighting and Safety Equipment in the Calabar Free Trade Zone, Cross River State.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:



Job Title: Machine Operator (Production)

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Main Key Responsibilities

  • Operate machines to achieve daily/shift production targets with minimal wastage.
  • Calibrate equipment and monitor gauges, in alignment with the standard operating procedures.
  • Operates the machine and ensure filling machine is connected to the appropriate finished product tank through the Hose.
  • Setup and adhere to the cleaning and maintenance schedules of machines to prevent failures.
  • Carry out CLAIRET – Cleaning, Lubrication, Adjustment, Inspection, Repairs(Minor), Eliminations and Tightening on machines.
  • Measure, convert, record, and interpret data for use by relevant personnel.
  • Comply with all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), One Point Lessons (OPL), Work Instructions (WI), Checklist and Manuals.
  • Ensure compliance to the waste management procedures put in place to manage waste.
  • Comply with workplace safety policy.
  • The goal will be to ensure that production procedures will be carried on smoothly to maximize efficiency and profits.
  • Inspect materialsto detect defects early and take necessary preventive actions.
  • Receives packaging materials from the store in line with the daily production plan.
  • Confirms proper volume is filled, capping is firmly done, and the induction seal is tamper proofed.
  • Runs the machine to fill the products in the different pack sizes as appropriate.
  • Confirms the quantity of lubricant oil available in the tank from which product is to be filled and record the quantity in the appropriate product register.

Requirements

  • Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree in any discipline with minimum of 4 years work experience.
