Job Title: Legal Adviser
Location: Lagos

Responsibilities

  • Company’s board secretarial responsibilities
  • Ensures the Company’s adherence to all corporate governance laws and principles
  • Ensures the Company’s compliance with labor and employment laws and all applicable regulations
  • Debt recovery and risk management
  • Legal counsel, litigation management, and legal representation
  • Contributes to updating legal procedures, guides, manuals, and operating methods for the company/affiliate.
  • Proactively advises management on the most effective legal and strategic protections for the company
  • Offers guidance on, prepare, and assess assigned legal, commercial, and other transactional contracts executed by the Company.
  • Contract preparation, review, and negotiation
  • Guides the Company on real estate transactions, leaseholds, and land rights
  • Corporate finance and trade finance

Requirements

  • LL. B and B.L. and licensed to practice in Nigeria. A master’s degree in law will be an advantage.
  • Minimum of 10 years of cognate experience in a legal advisory role.
  • High sense of responsibility and confidentiality in carrying out his/her roles:
  • Deep knowledge of the working and practice of Nigerian and international Law.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in handling and managing significant litigation matters.
  • Highest ethical standards and integrity.
  • Proficient in financial transactions, drafting contracts and providing legal counsel on various matters

Salary
N700,000 per month.
