Job Title: Fixed Income Trader
Location: Lagos
Responsibilities and Duties
- Administer financial products and services such as foreign
exchange and its various derivatives, customized investment and
financial products as recommended by portfolio managers and analysts.
- Monitor financial markets and provide update on market scenario and prepare reports to be submitted to portfolio analyst.
- Design all implementation strategies and recommend appropriate trade levels to customers.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with clients through regular visits.
- Design and offer customized fixed-income products to clients as per financial abilities and interests.
- Monitor and handle all trade breaks, cancels, corrections and resolve all issues for clients and organization.
- Coordinate with senior managers to ensure compliance to all company procedure and policies.
- Perform research on fixed income markets in various countries
and analyze markets, tax implications, accounting procedures and local
regulations.
- Monitor entry into new markets by appointing custodians and sub-custodians to initiate business.
- Provide adequate feedback to portfolio managers and analysts and develop market insights for fixed income clients.
- Evaluate all existing investments and recommend new strategies to support operations staff.
- Perform all middle and back office operations as required.
- Implement all trades activities and ensure strict compliance with company’s policies and procedures.
- Monitor and implement all trades in fair and reasonable manner according to existing market conditions and company policies.
- Collaborate with Operations, Sales and Systems personnel to ensure smooth processing and implementation of system changes.

- He should have a deep interest in the financial markets and should be extremely well organized.
- He should be able to work in high pressure work environment and within the given time constraints.

Job Description
- Promote and sell financial products to meet given or negotiated sales targets.
- Contact clients with news of new financial products or changing to legislation that may affect their savings and investments.
- Conduct in-depth reviews of clients’ financial circumstances, current provision and future aims.
- Analyse information and preparing plans best suited to individual clients’ requirement.
- Research the market place and provide clients with information on new and existing products and services.
- Produce financial reports.
- Contact clients and set up meetings, either within an office environment or in clients’ homes or business premises.
- Design financial strategies.
- Negotiate with product suppliers for the best possible rates.
- Keep up to date with financial products and legislation.
- Responsible for financial modelling and analysis.
- Responsible for integrating market and financial data in deliverable.
- Preparation of external presentation/pitch books.
- Tracking developments in the capital markets and analysis their impacts on client situation.
- Make presentations to contemporaries in the market at valuation meetings.
- Assist clients to make informed decisions.
- Review and respond to clients changing needs and financial circumstances.
- Contribute to all phases of client development, due diligence, deal execution as directed.
- Accountable for proper filling of documents and correspondence with clients.
- Responsible for developing and detailed work plan for each deal
and following up with external parties on milestones where applicable.
