Job Title: Head, Research
Location: Lagos

Job Objective(s)
- The Position Holder is responsible for providing oversight over the research / analysis of securities data target industries, markets, and capital markets, with the aim of providing own audience with a robust evidence-base in making investment decisions.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Research: Oversees the collection of market data & trend-spotting on various classes of security instruments, and their transformation into actionable information through fundamental, technical, and quantitative analysis, presented in periodic research notes with the aim of supporting investment decision-making by both internal teams (i.e. client relations, & proprietary trading desks), and the company’s clientele (retail and institutional). The Position Holder is also responsible for providing analytical support in the production, and maintenance of marketing collaterals for the securities business.
- Portfolio Optimization: Lead detailed, and extensive analysis of investment portfolios to both internal teams, and the company’s clientele with the aim of driving their effective decision-making in deriving maximum return, and minimizing costs like financial costs within the context of constraints such as regulations, taxes, and transaction costs.
- Support Business Development Activities: Develop customized marketing documents, and research for the purpose of sales pitches to prospective institutional clients. The Position Holder is also expected to actively participate in the firm’s sales roadshows to both local, and foreign institutional clients, as well as in presentations to clients.
- Strategic Initiatives: Responsible for driving the implementation of strategic initiatives that sustain / improve the organization’s competitive advantage within its operating environment.
- Product Development: Contribute to the creation, or modification the company’s product offerings with the objective of providing new or additional benefits to customers, as well as enhancing the company’s competitiveness and market dominance.
- Supports Team’s Development: Provides advice, guidance, and assistance to less experienced colleagues as required.
- Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) as prescribed by the Managing Director, ARM Securities
Reporting Relationships:
- Functionally reports to: Managing Director, ARM Securities
- Administratively reports to: Managing Director, ARM Securities
- Supervises: Research Analysts
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of cognate experience in similar role.
- Bachelor's degree from accredited university.
- MBA or other advanced degree in finance.
- Relevant professional qualifications in finance, and investment management (e.g. CIS, CFA, ACCA).

Job Title: Team Lead, Solutions Development

- Responsible for leading the solutions development team in delivering business critical projects, whilst maintaining high morale, managing the day-to-day activities in an efficient and professional manner.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Solutions Architecture: Develop high-level structures to enable and guide the design and development of integrated solutions that meet current and future business needs in respect to service, process, organization and operating models. The Position Holder is also responsible for providing comprehensive guidance on the development of, and modifications to , solution components to ensure that they take account of relevant architectures, strategies, policies, standards and practices (including security) and that existing and planned solution components remain compatible.
- Systems Development Management: Define solution development projects which support the organization’s objectives and plans, ensure that senior management is both aware of and able to provide the required resources, and manage the quality and appropriateness of the work performed (in accordance with agreed standards, methods and procedures), and ensure the delivery of measurable business benefits.
- Software Development: Set local or team-based standards for programming tools and techniques including security guidelines, and the selection of appropriate development methods, assigns work packages, monitor performance and manage change control dynamically to optimize productivity, and take technical responsibility for all stages and / or iterations in a software development project.
- Requirements Gathering: Liaise with client functions to establish business requirements, and identify, propose, initiate and lead significant solution development programmes.
- Database Design and Management: Provide specialist expertise in the development, use or operation of database management system tools and facilities, and set strategies for effective use of database technology taking account of the complex interrelationships between hardware and software.
- Quality Assurance: Lead the implementation, and maintenance of quality assurance processes and measures, by ensuring process assurance (verifying by project reviews and audits that development processes are documented and being followed), product assurance (demonstrating as the product is being built that it will comply with the customer’s requirements, by verifying each work product complies with documented specification and validating the end product against the customer’s requirements through User Acceptance Testing), and quality system assurance (demonstrating internal practices conform with established best practices).
- Stakeholder Management: Proactively seek to build mutually beneficial, and trusting relationships with internal stakeholders - especially client functions, with the aim of delivering operational impact.
- Supports Team’s Development: Provides advice, guidance and assistance to less experienced colleagues as required.
Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university
- MBA from an accredited university
- Professional certification in Project Management (e.g. PMP, PRINCE2) and/or IT Service Delivery (ITIL).

Duties and Responsibilities
- Public Relations: Support the building of alliances with both internal and external stakeholders in developing, and executing PR campaigns, with the aim of shaping and framing positive public perception of the organization.
- Media Relations: Provide support on media relation tasks by proactively building media contacts; drafting press releases; informing the press & general public of upcoming events or ongoing initiatives; monitoring media coverage; providing support on the organization of media events and promotional activities; and proposing / executing initiatives to drive media coverage.
- Brand Assurance: Ensure consistency in the brand’s manifestation in signages, branded and promotional items, by instituting appropriate quality controls, and service level agreements (SLAs) with vendors; ensure quality of signages and branded items, and undertake maintenance of brand collaterals.
- Corporate Social Responsibility: Provide support in the implementation of the organization’s CSR framework.
- Vendor Management: Liaise with external agencies /service providers in line with the firm’s established practices and procedures (e.g. service level management), towards providing effective services to the organization.
- Cost Management: Provide support in monitoring the utilization, of the organization’s branding budget, and processing vendor / service payments through the treasury function.
- Measurement of Branding Metrics: Undertake the identification, tracking and assessment of metrics / measures for assessing the organization’s brand equity, and associated branding efforts.
