We are also a Mental Health Information Centre, wellness alliance centre and a centre for respite care.     Job Title: Psychiatric Nurse Location: Nigeria Duties and responsibilities

  • Observe patients daily to identify, interpret, and document physical and emotional status and/or patterns, such as assaultive or suicidal behaviour, and response to treatment or medication.
  • Administer psychotropic medications to patients, monitors use, and documents reactions; instruct patients on the purpose, dosage, and side effects of medication, and explain the legal process related to the patient's refusal to take prescribed medication.
  • Monitor the number of patients present in the facility at certain intervals.
  • Inspect the therapy rooms to ensure air conditioner and lights are switched off when service users are not in room
  • Ensure that service users on medications are administered the prescribed medication.
  • Ensure that Scheduled Urine Drug test is taken for patient and recorded appropriately.
  • Psychosocial Interventions and care of patients.
  • Provision of individual and group therapy
  • Medication Management
  • Contact with next of kin and other care providers.
  • Maintenance of therapeutic milieu.
  • Physical Health.
  • Non-disclosure of confidential materials to unauthorized parties during and after contact with patients and relatives

Qualifications:
  • Minimum qualifications required to successfully perform the job. These are the qualifications that are necessary for someone to be considered for the position.
  • Notification of Registration as a General Nurse
  • Notification of Registration as a Psychiatric Nurse
  • Experience:One year of clinical experience

    Job Title: Occupational Therapist Location: Nigeria Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Meets the patient's goals and needs and provides quality care by assessing and interpreting evaluations and test results; determining occupational therapy treatment plans in consultation with physicians or by prescription.
  • Helps patient develop or regain physical or mental functioning or adjust to disabilities by implementing programs involving manual arts and crafts, practice in functional, prevocational, vocational, and homemaking skills, activities of daily living, and sensorimotor, educational, recreational, and social activities; directing aides, technicians, and assistants.
  • Promotes maximum independence by selecting and constructing therapies according to individual's physical capacity, intelligence level, and interest.
  • Prepares patient for return to employment by consulting with employers; determining potential employee difficulties; retraining employees; helping employers understand necessary physical and job result accommodations.
  • Evaluates results of occupational therapy by observing, noting, and evaluating patient's progress; recommending and implementing adjustments and modifications.
