Job Title: Head Pavement Engineer
Location: Nationwide
Job Brief
- The position entails helping grow and support our pavement management and engineering projects within the country (Nigeria).
- Responsibilities will include preparation and review of pavement engineering reports for highways, promotion to develop new markets, proposal preparation to secure new work, project management activities including data collection and analysis, report writing and managing projects financially.
Key Responsibilities
More specifically you will:
- Develop, plan, organize and carry out pavement evaluations and investigations, and geotechnical investigation for municipal roadway/infrastructure projects;
- Review / approve pavement design and pavement evaluation reports;
- Implementing the company's rules and regulations, and be fully responsible for the quality control and safety production management of the pavement site;
- Coordinate the connection between the various processes of the project pavement construction, and dispatch various personnel and equipments in accordance with the constrcution plan.
- Control the consumption of various raw materials in accordance with the requirements of construction specifications;
- Recording of construction materials for project cost analysis;
- Carry out safety training to meet company safety standards;
- Perform senior review of detailed engineering analysis, design and reporting for assigned projects;
- Participate in internal and external project meetings; prepare proposal, make presentations and participate in business development initiatives.
Education Background

Additional Requirements
To be successful, the incumbent must have:
- A Diploma / Degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering from a recognised reputed institution;
- Extensive knowledge of pavement construction methods, material and specifications;
- Experienced in materials characterisation, mix design of soil Treatments/Modification, Asphalt and Concrete works;
- Demonstrated competence in structural design of highway and pavement design methods
- Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders; Excellent English communication skills, written and verbal.

- Problem solving: Must be able think outside the box and provide accurate and clear information on challenges arising from the project and avoid further issues down the line.
- Excellent Communication: Must be able to communicate with different stakeholders, liaise and communicate with people in both professional and public settings.
- Eye for detail; Must have the ability to spot errors and gaps
- Visualisation: Must be able to visualise the end goal of large-scale, complex projects.
- Project management skills: Ideal candidate must be able to evaluate the project to estimate the amount of resources required, overall cost, and time it will take to reach completion. Ensuring that everything is completed on budget within stated deadline and according to the Nigeria Law and regulation.

Job Title: Project Construction Manager ( Subgrade Earthwork)

Job Brief
- We are recruiting a Project Construction Manager (Subgrade Earthwork). The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of earthwork, subgrade, and underground utility means and methods, including typical specifications.
Typical duties include but are not limited to:
- Provide safety oversight and hazard analysis for all onsite activities
- Ensure all aspects of safety are being adhered to in performance of the job at hand
- Lead project teams and ensure project completion within budget and schedule
- Monitor production rates and communicate the plan on a consistent basis to the craft workers to ensure successful execution of the project
- Coordinate with third party inspectors for testing and inspection of responsible activities
- Ensure maintenance of equipment through inspection processes
- Develop, communicate, monitor, and update the earthwork plan as necessary to ensure the company is progressing efficiently
- Ensure that all earthwork and related activities are being recorded accurately through the execution of the project
- Ensure workers for each task are fully qualified to perform assigned duties.
Education Background

Minimum Requirements:
- Experience on heavy civil construction projects including earthwork, concrete paving, asphalt paving;
- Ideal candidate must be capable of interpreting a critical path schedule and construction drawings;
- Familiarity with government specifications and requirements;
- Proficiency with web based interactive programs and Microsoft office (Outlook, Word, Excel) is required;
- Proficiency in the use of AutoCAD;
- Advance knowledge of tool and equipment safety.

Job Title: Head of Asphalt Batching Plant
Location: Nationwide
Job Brief
- We are currently seeking qualified, safety minded, motivated individual to operate and maintain the daily functions for our asphalt. In this role, you will be responsible for all aspect of the plant, ensuring a quality product for our customers
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the execution of general plant operations activities;
- Recommend measures to improve production methods and equipment performance;
- Implement the company’s various regulation and management systems, and be fully responsible for the production, safety and quality management of asphalt mixing plants;
- Train asphalt foremen and new crew members;
- Apply knowledge of production methods, processes, and equipment to ensure operating effectiveness and improve efficiencies
- Assist in the preparation of operating budget and forecasting date to meet established goals;
- Comply, understand, and support corporate safety initiatives to ensure a safe work environment;
Education and Work Experience
- Related supervisory or group leader experience preferred
Qualifications
- HND and above in Civil Engineering (Highway)
Additional Requirements:
- Familiar with the routine maintenance of the mixing station and the general trouble shooting;
- Ability to plan the construction of mixing station, personnel equipment and bulk materials from construction preparation to construction implementation; production cost and material consumption;
- Have certain management experience and have a good mechanical and electrical structure and principle of asphalt mixing station.
- Familiar asphalt concrete production process and operation process
- Excellent communication/leadership skills;
- Knowledge and experience with Hot Mix Asphalt and Aggregate plans;
- Excellent people skills and have strong potential for strong leadership development;
- Able to handle multiple responsibilities at one time;
- Possess practical knowledge of the function, operation, and maintenance of material processing equipment;
- Understanding of relevant ISPON regulations.
