Lapo Microfinance Bank Limited is a pro-poor financial institution
committed to the empowerment of low-income Nigerians through access to
responsive financial services delivered on a sustainable
basis. The
institution was founded as a non-profit entity by Mr. Godwin Ehigiamusoe
while working as a Rural Co-operative Officer in Delta State, Nigeria.
In 2010, LAPO set up a microfinance bank and transferred the bulk of its
microfinance operations to the new institutional vehicle.
We are recruiting to fill the position of:
Job Title: Relationship Manager
Locations: Lagos, Edo and Ibadan
Job Description
- Acquisition of profitable new customers for SME banking business
through the creation, development and maintenance of high quality
advisory relationships that includes effective consultative selling and
creative restructuring of financial solutions.
- Achieve budgeted growth in SME operations within agreed and approved business risk limits.
- Deepen and secure existing and new business relationships through the analysis of needs and provision of products and services.
- Creatively tailor products to meet individual and customer needs.
- Analyses and reviews quality of potentials and existing business to ensure maximum profitability.
- Conduct customer meetings that have defined call objectives, desired outcomes and a well-constructed plan.
- Work in close relationship with operations and credit team
including Marketing and Risk Managers to ensure that credit applications
for new and existing facilities are correctly prepared.
- Provide leadership in areas of expertise, particularly in the provision of products and services to customers.
- Supervise activities and performances of Relationship officers ensuring that they meet and surpass targets.
- Provide feedback to senior management, marketing and product
development on customer’s needs and the efficiency of marketing
strategies and tactics.

- Maintain an excellent relationship with clients.
- Analyze potential loan markets and develop referral networks to locate prospects for credit products.
- Evaluate loan applications and documentation by confirming credit worthiness.
- Process loan application of successful clients.
- Ensure clientele relationship management and confidentiality is maintained.
- Repetitively work towards increasing clientele base and product’s volume of portfolio.
