Job Title: Senior Facility/ Pl Decommissioning Engineer
Location: Rivers
Job Description

  • Carry out planning, prepare workscope, define requirements, select decommissioning concept, scheduling, execution, inspection and supervision for the decommissioning programme of oil & gas facilities and installations such as Flowstations, Compressor Stations, Gas Plants, including disused pipelines and related infrastructure such as non-oil and gas civil, mechanical & electrical works within SPDC East and West fields.
  • Manage technical, HSSE and commercial aspects of contracts supervised to achieve timely delivery of decommissioning activities within agreed budget.
  • Execute decommissioning activities to approved regulatory standards.
  • Proactive networking with regulators and JV, customers, contractors, community relations and stakeholders for decommissioning activities.
  • Monitor development of emerging technologies to achieve reduction in life cycle costs and continuous improvement in long-term operational performance.
  • Engage and Obtain Approvals of JV, DPR, FMEnv and Stakeholders. Drive the preparation of statutory reports and the Decommissioning Plan required to obtain these.
  • Execute all activities on these projects to deliver value to the JV and stakeholders.
  • Provide HSE supervision for projects
  • Engage with remediation teams for remediation of decommissioned project sites.
Other roles and responsibilities include:
  • Develop own skills and competence in line with changing business needs and technical advances in discipline. Evaluate and capture new knowledge and learning.
  • Participate in SPDC mentoring scheme for young graduates.
Requirements
  • 8 Years working experience
  • Must have supervised contract's work in the industry in past.
  • Computer literate; skilled in Microsoft Office software and capable of being self sufficient in correspondence, documentation, generating charts and schedules etc.
  • COREN Registered.
  • Strong inter-personal and leadership skills with good communications skills (i.e. report writing and presentation) are essential.
  • Team player, acting as a champion to break new grounds, self-motivated, starter.
  • Good knowledge of International Standards and Codes applied in the Oil and Gas Construction Industry.
