The Bible Society of Nigeria (BSN) is a member of the United
Bible Societies (UBS), a global fellowship of Non-Denominational
Christian Organizations whose primary mission involves translation of
the Holy Scriptures into languages people can easily read and understand
as well as production and distribution of the Scriptures to meet the
different needs of everyone. It also organizes programmes to encourage
interaction with the Scriptures and raises fund for these activities.
We are recruiting to fill the positions below:
Job Title: Human Resource Officer
Location: Any City, Nigeria
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will among others do the following:
- Assist in some strategic HR management such as staff acquisition,
proper utilization, onboarding and orientation, result oriented training
/ development, and so on
- Ensure productive administration and management of the Society's insurance policies as it relates to its assets and properties
- Ensure implementation of training schedules and monitor staff post training presentations
- Manage pension, health and other related Employee Assistance Programmes of the Society, etc.
Personnel Specification
- Minimum of 6 years cognate experience with at least four of it in Human Resource Management field
- Professionally certified by the Chartered Institute of Personnel
Management of Nigeria or CIPD, England with good knowledge of Nigerian
labour and employment laws are major criteria to occupy this position
- A Higher National Diploma or First Degree in the Humanities is a
must. Postgraduate Degree in Business Administration, Personnel
Management, Industrial and Labour Relations or related field would be of
advantage
- Proven Christian experience and proven integrity; Good presentation
skill; Willingness to learn and ability to work as a team player;
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Power point, Word, Excel, etc.
- Flexible, not easily provoked, sociable and always hungry for and delivering timely results

Job Title: Admin Assistant
Location: Any City, Nigeria
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure proper maintenance of the Society's public utilities such as
telephone, cable network service electricity and so on for optimal and
effective performance
- Ensure up-to-date documentations and records of all BSN's assets and properties pan-Nigeria
- Coordinates and maintains up-to-date register of BSN's fixed
assets, pan- Nigeria and indexing of assets as and when due where
necessary.
Personnel Specification
- 5 years cognate experience with at least 3 years of it in core Administrative field
- Must possess a National Diploma in Management related fields;
- Ability to be involved in core administrative issues;
- Total adherence to admin policies and operational activities of the Society
- Proven Christian experience and integrity;
- Willingness to learn and ability to work as a team player;
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.;
- Must be highly assertive, not easily provoked, sociable and always hungry for timely delivery of results

Job Title: Warehouse Assistant
Location: Lagos
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure good management of stock with accurate record keeping;
- Ensure stock are released to salesmen as approved in the requisition form promptly;
- Ensure day-to-day posting of all released stocks;
- Receive the return of unsold items into the warehouse with accurate record
- Posting of waybills and other stock management documents on Sage.
Personnel Specification
- Must have a National Diploma in Accounting or ATS or Business Admin
with sound and practical knowledge of accounting software, (e.g Sage
50)
- Must have a minimum of 2 years cognate experience in warehouse operations or store management

Job Title: Assistant Graphic Artist
Location: Lagos
Key Responsibilities
- Design packages using CorelDraw, Adobe Suite etc;
- Do 3D thumb up designs;
- Ensure perfect delivery of all the graphic designs / works of the Society as may be required
- Use the latest graphic instrument / packages to ensure a standardized work delivery.
Personnel Specification
- ND in Graphic Design / General Art
- Must be proficient in design packages: CorelDraw, Adobe Suite, and able to do 3D thumb up designs
- Must be a team player, able to work under pressure, deliver task to time and meet deadlines
- Must be between 25 - 35 years

Job Title: Audit Assistant
Location: Abuja
Key Responsibilities
- Auditing of the activities of assigned BSN depots and Areas in the Northern part of Nigeria, and the Guest house in Abuja
- Ensure strict compliance with the BSN policies; Monitor staff
advances and recovering debts and report the true state of same to the
Divisional Manager in Lagos
- Ensure strict adherence to necessary mechanisms put in to detect and prevent errors and frauds early;
- Report every observed variances or breach of BSN operational standard promptly and so on.
Personnel Specification
- Must possess a National Diploma in Accounting or ATS with sound and practical knowledge of accounting software, (e.g Sage 50)
- The job holder must have a minimum cognate experience of 2-3 years in a structured setting

Job Title: Confidential Secretary
Location: Lagos
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will among others do the following:
- Type mail-able documents that are error free for operational / administrative use
- Process, manage and coordinate relevant documents, data /
information and other resource tools relating to the activities of the
department to drive the growth and achievement of set goals
- Provide strategic secretarial functions to help achieve set goals.
Personnel Specification
- Must have a National Diploma in Secretarial Administration
- Must be someone who is intelligent, highly confidential, firm but
level headed, able to work under pressure, disciplined, quality and
result driven
- S/he must have a minimum of 4 years cognate experience in a structured setting
- Must possess excellent administrative and communication skills;
must be a team player and able to coordinate team members to achieve
expected results
