Karsto Global Resources Limited is a wholly owned Nigerian Company established with a view to rendering quality onshore/offshore services to the Oil and Gas industry in the West African Sub Region. The services consist of project management consultancy, construction and construction management, inspection, repair and maintenance, supply chain and inventory management, rope access. We are recruiting to fill the positions below: Job Title: Draftman Job Reference Code: KGR/DM/04/17 Location: Onshore/Offshore (Nigeria) Job Type: Contract Responsibilities/Summary of Functions

  • Develop a preliminary issue for construction(IFC), and As Built AutoCAD or CADWorx quality generated fabrication drawings
  • Reviewing information for completeness, accuracy and make necessary calculations for drawing development.
  • Develop and prepare engineering drawings, plans, diagrams or layouts from initial ideas, sketches, engineering calculations, specification sheets and other data.
  • Design plans using computer-aided design and drafting (CAD) software
  • Prepares As-built drawings in the prescribed computer sheet given by the Client and assist in Project Close-Outs.
  • Develop accurate material take off lists based on “Replacement in kind” requirements, other surveys occasionally for the Client
  • Develop electronic version of drawings in the Client’s standardized format
  • Develop native CAD files for all IFC drawings
  • Work with the survey team to survey job sites, develop work scope, takes accurate measurements during the site visit, and work cordially with engineers, fitters and welders for job accuracy and delivery.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time by the Project Engineer
Requirements/Qualification
  • Experience: 5-10 years
  • HND in Engineering
  • Proficient in the use of PDMS
  • Read and understand mechanical P&ID
  • Auto CAD with sound knowledge of 2D and 3D modeling
Abilities:
  • Ability to produce accurate isometric drawings efficiently and accurately
  • Ability to read and understand piping/mechanical drawings and material requirements
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Physically capable of performing scope of work and following safe work practices
  • Must be computer literate in MS-Word/Excel and Power Point
