We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Risk & Compliance Officer
Location: Nigeria
Reporting Line: Reports to the Head Internal Audit
Principal Responsibilities
- Drive development and implementation of the COSO ERM framework for identifying, assessing, monitoring and managing risks across all aspects of the Company’s operations
- Drive compliance with policies, procedures, regulations and statutory requirements that impact on the Company’s operations
Risk Management:
- Drive the establishment of the COSO ERM framework, policies and procedures to facilitate execution of the department’s mandate
- Implement the Annual Risk Management Plan
- Participate in process improvement/redesign and system upgrade/implementation efforts to ensure relevant requirements are considered and built into new systems and processes
- Ensure prompt reporting of risk positions and provide recommendations on possible resolution of critical issues
- Interpret and analyse reports/data/information to identify possible risk exposure
- Continuously review/assess the business and operational risks in order to proactively establish mitigating controls and monitoring mechanisms
- Champion the articulation and implementation of valid risk mitigation plans to effectively manage business and operational risks
- Maintain regular updates on trends and advances in global ad industry risk management and ensure the knowledge and relevant information is communicated to business managers within and outside the department
- Work with key stakeholders to ensure that risks associated with their activities are identified and mitigated with respect to exposure for the business
Compliance:
- Drive organisational and employee compliance with regulations and statutory requirements
- Prepare and communicate policies and procedures that relate to compliance activities, including development of a Compliance Policy
- Implement the Annual Compliance Plan
- Undertake periodic compliance reviews and reporting
- Investigate compliance breaches and identify remedial actions
- Maintain documentation of compliance activities
Work Experience/ Qualification
- Possess 7 to 10 years progressive experience in Internal Audit, risk management and compliance roles
- Minimum of a University Degree - Second Class Honours division
- Experience in an Audit and Accounting firm
- Experience in the upstream oil and gas industry
Professional Qualification:
- Possession of a minimum of one of the under-listed professional qualifications (E)
- Associate Chartered Accountant (ACA)
- Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA)
- Association of Enterprise Risk Management Professionals (AERMP)
- Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
- Certified Internal Auditor (CIA)
- Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE)
