Job Title: Workshop Manager
Location: Apapa, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Responsibilities
- To coordinate all workshop related activities and ensure availability of trucks.
- Ensure workshop procedures & systems are known to all staff and strictly followed during repairs on vehicle as well as maintenance documentation.
- Continuously monitor repair time & repair quality and ensure the KPI (MTTR & RFTR) targets are achieved.
- Ensure customer focus oriented culture among the team and maintain good relationships with customers.
- Ensure workshop facility, equipment & tools are adequately maintained and available in ready to use condition.
- Facilitate the training and development of team members in the department, by providing feedback and coaching to support improvements in their job performance.
- Review customers service orders and inspect the quality of repairs before the release of vehicles.
- Provide technical advice to team members, analyze and interpret data.
- Ensure the workshop observes all warranty process conditions
- Guiding & motivating productive staff to improve productivity & efficiency.
- Monitor and control workshop expenses.
Qualification And Key Competencies
- HND/B.Eng. in Mechanical Engineering (Specialization in Commercial Vehicles)
- Minimum of 8 years strong Engineering experience with an established Commercial Vehicle Workshop (Trucks specifically)
- Perfect knowledge of Auto Trucks.
- Problem solving skill and team spirit.
- Product knowledge & skills to handle technical problems, warranty issues.
- Ability to guide & train others.
- Good communication ability both verbally and in writing.
- Computer skills: Microsoft Office Package
- Valid driver’s license
Job Title: Fleet Service Engineer (Heavy Duty)
Location: Apapa, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Key Responsibilities
- Examine vehicle and discuss with management the nature and extent of damage or malfunction.
- Estimates cost of repair and prepare itemized work order, listing costs of parts and labor.
- May make minor adjustments or repairs.
- Work in a cooperative and positive manner with all personnel.
- Conform to the company’s policies.
- Automobile engine start-up and short test drives as required.
- Oversee routine and ad hoc maintenance on new and existing trucks to ensure schedule fleet operations are not interrupted.
- Oversee the repairs and maintenance operation for all vehicles in line with budget.
Qualification and key competencies
- HND or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering field
- Minimum of 5 years’ hands-on working experience as a service engineer on heavy duty trucks
- Analytical and supervisory skills
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Auto engineering skills
- Communication and interpersonal skill
Job Title: Security Superintendent
Locations: Enugu, Apapa-Lagos, Rivers,
Employment Type: Full-time
Description
- Supervises and coordinates the activities around the truck in each location, and personnel of assigned location to maintain security and safety of people, asset and products.
Responsibilities
- Conducts briefings at the start of new shifts to inform drivers of pertinent information regarding the location.
- Patrols assigned location, checking for any suspicious activity or persons or safety/fire hazards.
- Investigates and/or reports hazards and unusual or suspicious circumstances to the police unit within the locality or follow-up actions; maintains contact with police and other security outfit around.
- Inspect the truck and product when the driver is off the location for safety (Land gear well positioned). Check that tarpaulins, corner plates and strapping belts are intact to assure the products are tightly secured; notes in writing log any defects, product missings or suspicious activities; submits information to the Logistics Manager.
Qualification and Requirements
- OND / NCE in Social Science or a related field
- A minimum of 2 years’ cognate experience and some technical experience will be of advantage
- Good written and Verbal communications skills.
- Knowledge of supervisory practices and principles.
- Knowledge of security and fire inspection procedures and practices.
- Skill in both verbal and written communication.
- Skill in observing situations and decision making.
- Skill in dealing courteously with the public.
- Should be based around the community
Job Title: Auto Electrician (Heavy Duty)
Locations: Abuja, Lagos, Port-Harcourt - Rivers, Owerri-Imo, Benin-Edo, Ibadan-Oyo & Enugu
Employment Type: Full-time
Responsibilities
- Inspect vehicle electrical components to diagnose issues accurately
- Conduct routine maintenance work aiming to vehicle functionality and longevity
- Maintains vehicle functional condition by listening to operator complaints; conducting inspections; repairing electrical systems malfunctions; replacing parts and components.
- Verifies vehicle serviceability by conducting test drives; adjusting controls and systems.
- Provide accurate estimates (cost, time, effort) for a repair or maintenance job
- Keep logs on work and issues
- Maintain equipment and tools in good condition
Qualification And Requirements
- OND in Auto Electrical Engineering
- 3+ years of automotive repair experience
- Valid driver’s license
- Proven experience as an auto electrician
- Excellent knowledge of electrical components of vehicles
- Working knowledge of vehicle diagnostic systems and methods
- Ability to handle various tools and heavy equipment
- Willingness to observe all safety precautions for protections against accidents, dangerous fluids, chemicals etc.
- Excellent physical condition
- Time Management, Attendance, Independence, Problem Solving, Dealing with Complexity, Analyzing Information.
