Job Description/Responsibilities
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for Developing HR Strategy in line with corporate strategy, Preparing the annual Human Resource budget and plan and drive its implementation, Assessing the current staff capacity, organize inductions and orientation programmes for new hires whilst developing and maintaining a competitive and merit based compensation system to support the bank’s talent attraction and retention strategies.
- The Post holder will oversee the administration of staff welfare and benefits scheme whilst reporting and advising management on their implications for operational performance, Reviewing the outputs from the periodic performance reviews, Working with the Heads of Departments and Line managers to design and implement staff training & development strategies, Coordinating the development of the training curriculum, facilitation, nomination and training evaluation, Overseeing staff training to ensure identified needs are addressed with suitable training interventions, succession management and employee engagement, developing strategies and putting measures in place to ensure that agreed imperatives are delivered, Administering payroll to ensure accurate computation of staff salaries and issuance of Payslips, Monitoring to ensure that all payroll instructions are prepared and logged in time to reflect contractual variations, new starters, leavers, and staff benefits for the monthly payroll run.
- S/He will be responsible for coordinating processes for leave management and approval, Coordinating disciplinary meetings and Keeping up-to-date staff records and effectively manage employee information, Providing timely and insightful report to Management to guide appropriate decision making on employees, Managing employee exit from the Bank by conducting exit interviews and computing the terminal benefits as required, Handles the procurement, acquisition, distribution, and storage of office supplies and equipment.
- The Ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining effective relationship with vendors and service providers in line with the Service Level Agreements (SLAs) while negotiating cost- effective contract rates and delivery standards / requirements with them, Managing the Bank’s fleet of vehicles and monitors allocation of pool cars and drivers, Maintaining the office facilities by ensuring prompt repairs and fixing of damages, Planning long and short-term maintenance needs, Maintaining a safe and clean work environment, Overseeing the activities of security, dispatch riders, cleaners etc, Ensuring contracts, insurance requirements, and government regulations and safety standards are followed properly, Attending to employee queries and ensures all staff are duly informed and kept abreast of happenings within the Bank, Monitoring and evaluating performance of staff in the Human Resource and Admin Function, Directing and motivating HR function staff in delivering the people management mandate in line with specified deliverables, Conducting relevant training to improve the capability of team members, Providing career development support and adequate coaching to team members.
Qualifications and Skills
- Professional certifications in Human Resource (HR Certification Institute (HRCI), Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) USA, Chartered Institute of Personnel Development (CIPD)UK,
- Minimum of 12 years’ experience in Human Resource Management with at least 5 years at Senior Management Level.
- The Ideal candidate must have a B.Sc in any Social Sciences, Humanities, Business Administration or Law disciplines,
- Master's degree in Human Resource,
