Job Title: Livelihood Officer
Location: Shani & Maiduguri, Borno State

Role Purpose
- To support Christian Aid's development, implementation and monitoring of a 3-month WFP food distribution project. Role context
- The Livelihood Officers will be based in Maiduguri and Shani Borno State respectively and report to Senior Programme Coordinator, Livelihood.
- He/she will provide support for efficient and smooth implementation of Livelihood interventions at community level under the direction of the Senior Programme Coordinator, Livelihood.
- He/she will also collect information and data on livelihoods at community level through screening and other assessments.
- He/she will oversee the mobilization and awareness raising about the organization, program objectives and activities to local authorities and the population, and act as a link between the organization and the beneficiaries (at Community level).
- The Livelihood Officer will also be required to represent Christian Aid and the program within the community.
Key Outcomes
Under the direct supervision of the Senior Programme Coordinator Livelihood and in collaboration with the field officer and other team members of the project and of the base, the Livelihood Officer will:
- Plan and implement the Livelihood activities in all program locations
- Conduct community meetings to identify livelihood preferences of the communities of implementation
- Coordinate and collaborate with other NGOs, INGOs and Government institutions in relation to livelihood implementation
- Provide technical input on Christian Aid livelihoods programs
- Ensure all livelihoods activities are in line with government strategy
- Conduct surveys, needs assessment, data and information collection as and when required for the ongoing program.

Role Purpose

Job Title: Accountability Assistant

Role purpose
- To support the Monitoring Evaluation Accountability and Learning (MEAL) unit and programs in implementing accountability activities which would range from daily visit to project locations with volunteers to get complaints, escalate them to the appropriate unit for them to be solved, Input complaints into the Christian Aid Complaints database and produce periodic reports.
- The role holder is expected to have a basic knowledge of the Humanitarian Accountability Partnership (HAP) guideline, Core Humanitarian Standard (CHS) principle and other relevant accountability guidelines.
Role context
- The role works within the International Programmes role family positioned within the humanitarian team. The role is key in providing Accountability support through complaints logging, management, tracking, analysis and reporting to the Accountability focal person in the MEAL unit and various project leads. The role will normally work within the country office and there may be occasional travel required
