Job Title: IT Manager

Location: Lekki, Lagos (JHU Business School)
Reports to: Dean

Job Brief

  • We are seeking a highly motivated and accomplished professional to serve as an  IT Manager for our Business School.

Job Summary

  • Responsible for managing the technology infrastructure and support services for the Business School. This includes overseeing the implementation and maintenance of technology systems, managing the school’s network and security, managing the help desk, and providing technical support to faculty, staff, and students.
  • The IT Manager is a critical member of the School’s team, responsible for providing technical expertise and support to ensure the smooth operation of all technology systems.
  • The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of technology infrastructure, strong project management skills, and excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Qualifications

  • Possession of a Bachelor's Degree, Master's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years working experience in technology management, preferably in a higher education environment
  • Knowledge of enterprise software applications, including learning management systems, student information systems, and business systems
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Knowledge of network and server infrastructure, security policies, and help desk support
  • Strong project management skills and experience managing technology projects
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and students
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a team of technical staff and provide training and development

Physical Demands:

  • This position may require the IT Manager to sit or stand for extended periods, lift, or move heavy equipment, and work in confined spaces.
  • The IT Manager may also be required to work outside of normal business hours to perform system maintenance or upgrades.

Working Conditions:

  • The IT Manager will primarily work in an office environment but may occasionally need to work in classrooms or other areas of the School.
  • This position may require occasional travel to other university campuses.
