Job Title: IT and Admin Officer

Location: Kwale, Delta
Employment Type: Full-time

Summary

• The job holder reports to the Head, HR and Administration to perform all IT related duties or responsibilities for the company together with other administrative functions.

Job Description

• Installation of Hardware and Software
• Fixing of Server problems when necessary
• Fixing of database problems when necessary
• Responsible for managing company website related issues
• Setting up workstations with computers and necessary peripheral devices
• Perform troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve problems (repair or replace parts, debugging etc.)
• Work closely with Service Desk Support, IT Application, IT Business Partner as well as other IT team to provide professional technical and system support
• Work with Network and support provider in order to establish the Internet connection
• Develop technical and user manuals, and other necessary documentations as assigned.
• Catch up with new technologies
• Coordinate with 3rd party/outsourcing team to deliver their quality of work to archive SLA according to the contract
• System implementation including all type of testing (unit, QA, regression, etc.)
• Checking computer hardware (HDD, mouse, keyboards etc.) to ensure functionality
• Installing and configuring appropriate software and functions according to specifications
• Develop and maintain local networks in ways that optimize performance
• Ensure security and privacy of networks and computer systems
• Provide orientation and guidance to users on how to operate new software and computer equipment
• Organize and schedule upgrades and maintenance without deterring others from completing their work
• Provide Desktop Support when necessary
• Perform user training and post implementation support as assigned.
• Perform other administrative functions as directed by the line of report.

Qualifications and Competencies

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field with a minimum of 2 years work experience.
• Certification as IT Technician will be an advantage (e.g. CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional)
• In depth understanding of diverse computer systems and networks
• Excellent diagnostic and problem solving skills
• Must be familiar with Microsoft office parkage
• Must be willing and able to work more than just office hours depending on workload
• Strong communication skills and IT fluency.
• Good knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles
• Proven experience as IT Technician or relevant position
