Job Title: Invoice Clerk

Job Summary

  • As an Invoice Clerk in the Sales Department of our company, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of sales invoices.
  • This position involves coordinating with the sales team to verify sales orders, tracking payments, and maintaining accurate financial records. You will also assist in resolving billing discrepancies and providing customer support regarding invoice-related inquiries.
  • Your attention to detail and organizational skills will be key to ensuring smooth sales transactions and maintaining the company's financial accuracy.

Job Description

  • Prepare and issue sales invoices to customers, ensuring accuracy in pricing, quantities, and sales terms.
  • Verify and cross-check sales orders, delivery notes, and contracts before generating invoices.
  • Track payments and ensure timely receipt from customers while maintaining up-to-date records of outstanding payments.
  • Collaborate with the sales and finance teams to resolve any billing discrepancies or payment issues.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and provide support regarding invoice-related questions and payment status.
  • Reconcile invoices with the company's accounting system and make adjustments as necessary.
  • Prepare regular reports on invoicing, sales, and outstanding balances for management review.
  • Ensure all records and documentation are maintained in compliance with company policies and financial regulations.

Job Requirements

  • ND or HND,additional certification in accounting or finance is a plus.
  • Proven experience as an Invoice Clerk, Billing Clerk, or in a similar role, preferably within a sales or furniture industry setting.
  • Strong understanding of invoicing procedures
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and handle customer inquiries.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Salary
N100,000 monthly.
