Inventory Officer at Gooselink Resource Limited
Gooselink Resource Limited currently requires an inventory officer for a construction project in Lagos.
We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Inventory Officer
Location: Ikeja GRA, Lagos
Employment Type: Temporary
Purpose Statement
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of material management which includes; storage of mainly construction materials, merchandise, items, etc., and proper distribution those engaged in inventory management and to ensure that optimum levels of inventory is maintained and that it is at par with quality standards. He/she is also responsible for keeping a track of the inventory records and making sure that it is accurate
- The inventory officer is responsible for monitoring the movement of stock from in and out of the warehouse. He/she is involved in preparing the weekly reports of all the activities in the warehouse like the consignment received, the quantity of items received, point of collection and dispatch, stacking number, outstanding balance, etc.
Key Deliverables
- Coordinate with procurement regarding anticipated goods and reconcile received stock.
- Ensure the integrity of the inventory management system, alerting about low stock levels, and making ordering recommendations.
- Create sufficient storage space for incoming items and arrange for their proper offloading.
- Dispense stock from storage by measuring, counting, or cutting requested amounts.
- Analyze stock reports, utilizing knowledge of goods and trends to estimate needs and recommend appropriate quantities, including suggesting additions or deletions to standard stock items.
- Address challenges or complaints from staff and users, vendors, or agents.
- Maintain accurate records of stock cost prices and quantities on hand.
- Ensure precise and thorough entry of new or received stock into the inventory management system.
- Complete approval documentation for all goods issued or received from stock.
- Ensure full compliance with documented stock management processes.
- Conduct periodic physical inventory counts, reconciling with records and sending reports to auditors or designated departments to resolve discrepancies.
- Store materials, supplies, and equipment according to relevant factors such as weight, temperature, and safety precautions.
Knowledge / Skills:
- Excellent mathematical skills
- Proficiency in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of programs particularly Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
Minimum Qualification / Experience:
- Ordinary National & Higher National Degree holders ONLY
- 1- 2 years of cognate experience on a similar role.

Salary
N110,000 - N130,000 monthly.
